Standard MIDI Files (SMF) and Pro ToolsExporting Sibelius/Finale to SMF

If you write on Sibelius/Finale then make sure each instrument is set to a different Channel output

Then Go to FILE/SAVE AS - and under Format select Standard MIDI File

Under Export File Options, Format 1 Saves each Instrument as a Separate Track,

while Format 0 Saves All Instruments into a Single Track
