A. Objective
Provide guidance and explanation of responsibilities and procedures of the
implementation of the Integrated Practicum II which is managed by the Labor
and Ergonomics Laboratory and the Statistical and Quality Engineering
Laboratory.
B. Scope and Related Units
This procedure is applied to the entire set of Integrated Practicum II
activities for TI-UB students who are currently programming the Integrated
Practicum II. The units involved in this Integrated Practicum II are as follows:
1. TI-UB Students who take the Integrated Practicum II
IT-UB Students who are taking the Integrated Practicum II which is then
referred to as praktikan has the responsibility to follow the practicum well
and keep the good name Laboratory of Design and Ergonomics and
Laboratory of Statistics and Quality Engineering.
2. Assistant of Design and Ergonomics Laboratory and Statistics and Quality
Engineering Laboratory of TI-UB
The laboratory assistant is assigned to carry out the practicum as part of
the work program of the Labor Design and Ergonomics Laboratory and the
Laboratory of Statistics and Quality Engineering and the curriculum of the
Industrial Engineering Department. The lab assistant is responsible for
the smoothness and success of the Integrated Practicum II.
3. Practical Coordinator
The practicum coordinator is in charge of coordinating laboratory
assistants in the implementation of the lab and is responsible for the
performance and consistency of laboratory assistants in carrying out the
practicum.
4. Lecturer
The lecturer of Integrated Practicum II is responsible for guiding and
practicing practicing values.
5. Head of Laboratory of Work Design and Ergonomics of TI-UB
Head of laboratory as the leader and highest responsible of Labor Design
and Ergonomics Laboratory.
6. Head of Laboratory of Statistics and Quality Engineering of TI-UB
The head of the laboratory as the leader and superintendent of the highest
Laboratory of Statistics and Quality Engineering.

C. Related Quality Standard
The output that will result from this Integrated Practicum II activity is
the Integrated Practicum Report II. While the outcomes obtained from the
activities of Practicum Integrated II is a science obtained both for praktikan
and from the assistant Laboratory Design Work and Ergonomics and
Laboratory Statistics and Quality Engineering.
D. Terms and Definition
1. The Integrated Practicum II is a practicum with a load of 2 credits as a
supporting course of Product Design. Integrated Practicum II is a
practicum in the Department of Industrial Engineering which is
controlled by two laboratories namely Labor Design and Ergonomics
Laboratory and Laboratory of Statistics and Quality Engineering. The
Laboratory of Statistics and Quality Engineering is responsible for
teaching practicum from Module 1: Chapter I (Market Segmentation),
Chapter II (Opportunity Identification), Chapter III (Identification of
Customer Needs), Module 2: Chapter I (Product Specification), Module
3: Chapter I (Concept Development), and Chapter II (Concept Selection).
While the Labor Design and Ergonomics Laboratory Module 3: Chapter
III (Concept Testing), Module 4: Chapter I (Architectural Design), and
Chapter II (Industrial Design).
2. Praktikan is a practicum participants are students who programmed
Practicum Integrated II.
3. Guide Book is a guidebook or guide for students who programmed
Integrated Practicum II.
4. Work Book is a practical task book, where praktikan fill this book to
support the activities lab.
5. The Practicum Control Card is a card used to control practicum
activities.
6. The Assistant Group is the assistant responsible for the group under
which 1 assistant has 1 group.
7. Responsible Assistant Chapter is the assistant responsible for the
materials, practicum, consultation, and ACC in the relevant chapter.
8. Compulsory Consultation is a consultation activity which must be
attended by all group members which aims to deliver the output
obtained up to the respective chapters to their respective group
assistants.
E. Sequence of Procedures
1. Preparation of Integrated Practicum Module II

a. Create timeline of module compilation.
b. Conducting draft module preparation in accordance with the time
line that has been made.
c. Conduct a simulated module of the practicum.
d. Evaluate the draft modules and simulations that have been done.
e. Make improvements to the draft of the practicum module.
2. Registration of Integrated Practicum II
a. Prospective practitioners download the registration form of the
Integrated Practicum II at the Laboratory Design and Ergonomics
Laboratory and the Statistical and Quality Engineering Laboratory
in accordance with the time specified.
b. Prospective praktikan fill out the registration form and complete
the file and terms that have been determined.
c. Prospective practitioners collect the registration form and all the
files in both laboratories in accordance with the time specified
3. Determination of Integrated Practicum Group II
a. Assistant collects data of number of praktikan that come from data
recording and result of registration of candidate praktikan.
b. Assistant divides and determines the group of praktikan based on
the value of the ability of praktikan seen from the Cumulative
Achievement Index and pre test value.
c. Assistant determines the assistant division to be adjusted by the
number of assistants.
d. Head of the Laboratory of Design and Ergonomics and Laboratory
of Statistics and Quality Engineering examines and approves the
list of divisions of the Integrated Practicum II group
e. The Assistant makes the announcement of the group's
determination of Integrated Practicum II to be socialized to
praktikan.
4. Implementation of Practicum
The Integrated Practicum II consists of 9 Chapters, with practicum
carried out 6 times. The first practice includes Module 1: Chapters I and
Chapter II, practicum 2 covering Module 1: Chapter III, Practicum 3
includes Module 2: Chapter IV, Practicum 4 includes Module 3: Chapters
I, II, and III, Practicum 5 includes Module 4: Chapter I and Practicum 6
include Module 4: Chapter II.
1. Practical Procedure Module 1: Chapters I and II
1) The Assistant announces the schedule of practicum through

carry practicum control card, guide book, and work book
respectively.
2) The person in charge of the module prepares the practicum SOP
and the practicum presentation material and consult the Head of
the Laboratory
3) Assistant brainstorm and practical simulation Module 1: Chapters
I and II led by the person in charge Module 1: Chapters I and II.
4) Conducting practicum, led by 2 assistants, tentor 1 and tentor 2.
5) The Assistant explains material on the identification of
opportunities and market segmentation at the time of the
practicum in accordance with SOPs and practicum presentation
materials Module 1: Chapters I and II.
6) At the end of the practicum, the assistant describes the report sub-
chapter and what should be done in progressing the report
including the division of the product of each group that has been
attached by all supervisors and the laboratory.
7) After / outside the practicum, praktikan asked to create an open
questionnaire to identify opportunities based on the division of
products of each group.
8) Praktikan must consult the questionnaire that has been made to
the assistant in charge of chapters and lecturers respectively.
9) Praktikan spread the questionnaire to the respondents in
accordance with the needs of each product group.
10) Practically recap the results of the questionnaire and change the
customer statement into a statement of customer needs and
determine the segmentation to be targeted.
11) Praktikan shall consult the statement of customer needs and
segmentation that has been made to the assistant in charge of the
chapter and must be in-ACC by the assistant in charge of the
chapter before undertaking the compulsory consultation with the
group assistant to obtain the ACC report up to the module and the
chapter concerned.
12) Praktikan must consult the reports that have received ACC group
assistant to their respective supervisors.
13) The output of this chapter is the product to be made, the customer
needs statement, and the market segmentation that each group
chooses.

2. Practical Procedure Module 1: Chapter III
1) The Assistant announces the schedule of practicum through
mading and laboratory website with the regulation of praktikan
must carry practicum control card, guide book, work book, and
laptop respectively.
2) The person in charge of the module prepares the practicum SOP
and the practicum presentation material and consult the Head of
the Laboratory
3) Assistant brainstorm and practical simulation Module 1: Chapter
III led by the person in charge Module 1: Chapter III.
4) Conducting practicum led by 2 assistants, tentor 1 and tentor 2.
5) Tentor 1 is responsible for explaining the theory of closed
questionnaires, validity and reliability in accordance with SOPs
that have been made.
6) Tentor 2 tasked to explain the validity and reliability testing using
SPSS software in accordance with SOP that has been made.
7) Other assistants who are on duty to assist the practitioner in
testing validity and reliability.
8) The division of job desc tentor and other assistants who guard may
change according to the SOP made by the responsible person of the
chapter.
9) At the end of the practicum, the assistant describes the report sub-
chapter and what should be done in progressing the report.
10) After / outside the practicum, praktikan is asked to create and
distribute a closed questionnaire to identify the importance of each
need and assessment for the same competitor product.
11) Praktikan shall consult the results of closed questionnaires and
assessment of the same competitor products that have been made
to the assistant in charge of the chapter and shall be in-ACC by the
assistant in charge of the chapter before undertaking the
compulsory consultation with the group assistant to obtain the
ACC report up to the module and the relevant chapter .
12) Praktikan spread the questionnaire closed to the respondents in
accordance with product segmentation of each group.
13) Practically recap the results of closed questionnaires and perform
validity and reliability testing.
14) Praktikan must consult the reports that have received ACC group
assistant to their respective supervisors.
15) The output of this chapter is the level of importance / expectation
of each customer's needs and the respondent's assessment of the
competitor's product.

3. Practical Procedure Module 2: Chapter I
1) The Assistant announces the schedule of practicum through
mading and laboratory website with the regulation of praktikan
must carry the practicum control card, guide book, and work book
respectively.
2) The person in charge of the module prepares the practicum SOP
and the practicum presentation material and consult the Head of
the Laboratory
3) Assistant brainstorm and practice simulation Module 2: Chapter I
led by the person in charge Module 2: Chapter I.
4) Conducting practicum led by 2 assistants, tentor 1 and tentor 2.
5) Tentors 1 and 2 are tasked with explaining the material in
accordance with SOPs that have been made by PJ chapters and
leading practicum.
6) Another assistant who is on guard helps tentor to explain
personally to the practitioner who asks when practicum so that lab
time is shorter.
7) Distribution of job desc tentor and other assistant who guard may
change according to SOP made by person in charge of chapters.
8) At the end of the practicum, the assistant describes the report sub-
chapter and what should be done in progressing the report.
9) After / outside the practicum, praktikan is required to make House
of Quality of each product based on the output of the closed
questionnaire that has been recapitulated and tested for validity
and reliability.
10) Praktikan shall consult the House of Qualitu that has been made
to the assistant in charge of the chapter and must be in-ACC by
the assistant in charge of the chapter before undertaking the
consultation with the group assistant to get the ACC report up to
the module and the chapter concerned.
11) Praktikan must consult the reports that have received ACC group
assistant to each supervising lecturer.
12) The output of this chapter is the House of Quality matrix that
contains product specifications based on the quality desired by the
customer and the ability of the design team.
4. Practical Procedure Module 3: Chapters I, II, and III
1) The Assistant announces the schedule of practicum through
mading and laboratory website with the regulation of praktikan
must carry the practicum control card, guide book, and work book
respectively.
2) The person in charge of the module prepares the practicum SOP
and the practicum presentation material and consult the Head of
the Laboratory

3) Assistant brainstorming and practical simulation Module 3:
Chapters I, II, and III led by the person in charge Module 3:
Chapters I, II, and III.
4) Conducting a practicum led by 3 assistants, tentor 1, tentor 2, and
3.
5) Tentor 1 is tasked to explain the material in accordance with SOPs
that have been made by PJ chapters and lead the Concept
Development Practicum.
6) Tentor 2 is tasked with explaining the material in accordance with
SOPs that have been made by PJ chapters and leading the Concept
Selection Practicum.
7) Tentor 3 is tasked with explaining the material in accordance with
SOPs that have been made by PJ chapters and leading Practical
Testing Concepts.
8) Another assistant who is on guard helps the tentor to explain
personally to the practitioner who asks when the practicum so that
the practicum time is shorter.
9) The division of job desc tentor and other assistants who guard may
change according to SOP made by the responsible person of the
chapter.
10) At the end of the practicum, the assistant describes the report sub-
chapter and what should be done in progressing the report.
11) After / outside the practicum, praktikan is asked to arrange the
design of each product concept based on the output of the House
of Quality that has been made as well as the concept test
questionnaire.
12) Praktikan shall consult the content related to the development,
selection, and testing of concepts that have been made to the
assistant responsible chapters and compulsory in-ACC by the
chaplain assistant chapters before undertaking the compulsory
consultation with the group assistant to obtain the ACC report up
to the module and the chapter concerned .
13) Praktikan must consult the reports that have received ACC group
assistant to their respective supervisors.
14) The output of this chapter is the concept design alternatives, the
concept design selected in the concept selection, and the results of
the concept-testing questionnaire recap.
5. Practical Procedure Module 4: Chapter I
1) The Assistant announces the schedule of practicum through
mading and laboratory website with the regulation of praktikan
must carry the practicum control card, guide book, and work book
respectively.

2) The person in charge of the module prepares the practicum SOP
and the practicum presentation material and consult the Head of
the Laboratory
3) Assistants brainstorm and practice simulations Module 4: Chapter
I led by the person in charge Module 4: Chapter I.
4) Conducting a practicum led by 3 assistants, tentor 1, tentor 2, and
3.
5) Each tentor is tasked with explaining the material in accordance
with SOPs that have been made by PJ chapters and leading the
Architectural Design Practicum.
6) Another assistant who is on guard helps tentor to explain
personally to the practitioner who asks when practicum so that lab
time is shorter.
7) Distribution of job desc tentor and other assistant who guard may
change according to SOP made by person in charge of chapters.
8) At the end of the practicum, the assistant describes the report sub-
chapter and what should be done in progressing the report.
9) After / outside the practicum, praktikan asked to create a product
architecture design containing content that has been determined
10) Praktikan shall consult the contents of the product architecture
design that has been made to the assistant in charge of the chapter
and must be in-ACC by the assistant in charge of the chapter before
undertaking the compulsory consultation with the group assistant
to obtain the ACC report up to the module and the chapter
concerned.
11) Praktikan must consult the reports that have received ACC group
assistant to each supervising lecturer.
12) The output of this chapter is the product architecture design
according to the previous Chapter's output.
6. Practical Procedure Module 4: Chapter II
1) The Assistant announces the schedule of practicum through
mading and laboratory website with the regulation of praktikan
must carry the practicum control card, guide book, and work book
respectively.
2) The person in charge of the module prepares the practicum SOP
and the practicum presentation material and consult the Head of
the Laboratory
3) Assistant brainstorm and practice simulation Module 4: Chapter II
led by the person in charge Module 4: Chapter II.
4) Conducting a practicum led by 3 assistants, tentor 1, tentor 2, and
3.
5) Each tentor is tasked with explaining the material in accordance
with SOPs that have been made by PJ chapters and leading the
Industrial Design Practicum.

9) After / outside the practicum, praktikan is asked to create a
product industry design containing the content that has been
determined
10) Praktikan shall consult the design of the product industry that has
been made to the assistant in charge of the chapter and must be
in-ACC by the assistant in charge of the chapter before undertaking
the compulsory consultation with the group assistant to obtain the
ACC report up to the module and the chapter concerned.
11) Praktikan must consult the reports that have received ACC group
assistant to each supervising lecturer.
12) The output of this chapter is the product industry design according
to the previous Chapter's output.
5. Evaluation of Integrated Practicum II
1) Assistants assess individual duties given to praktikan, both when
practicum activities and consulting activities must take place.
2) The Assistant assigns value to the practitioner for each practicum
module through mandatory consultation activities according to
predetermined criteria.
3) Lecturers provide value to praktikan through lecturer assistance
activities and taking value by lecturers concerned.
4) After the lecturer's assistance is complete, the assistant recaps all
the values given by both the assistant and the lecturer.
5) Assistants also recap the points of violation that have been done by
praktikan.
6) The Assistant determines the final value of the praktikan obtained
from the sum of the values of the assistant and the lecturer, then
subtracted by the points of offense the assistant has hired.
7) Convert the final value of praktikan in the form of numbers into
the form of the letter value (A, B +, B, C +, and C) in accordance
with the existing standards in the Department of Industrial
Engineering.
8) The assistant writes the final value to the satisfied letter and is then
signed by the practicum coordinator. A satisfied letter is written in
3 (three) copies. The letter will be given to recording, praktikan and
for laboratory archives.
9) A satisfied letter is distributed to the practitioner.
