Tangent• To find the gradient of a curve

you must draw a tangent.• A tangent is a line that just

touches the curve at the desired point.

• Draw this using a ruler and make a triangle to find the gradient.

• Remember gradient is up/across

• Be very careful with the scales on the axes.
