STATUTES GOVERNING THREE YEAR B.A./B.SC./ B.COM.(GENERAL)/BBA/BCA/HONOURS COURSE (SEMESTER SYSTEM)

1. GENERAL

(a) No candidate who wishes to enter a course of study prescribed by the Universityshall be admitted to an affiliated or a constituent college unless he/she haspassed the qualifying examination for admission to such course as prescribed bythe Statutes.

rovided that a candidate having been placed under re!appear in one sub"ectonly of the #igher Secondary art!$$ examination (%&' pattern) of the *+ State,oard of School -ducation or any other examination recognised as equivalentthereto if otherwise found eligible may be allowed provisional admission in theovt. 0olleges opened in &&1 onwards and rivate affiliated 0olleges to the,.2./,.Sc./,.0om. (eneral) 0ourse Semester!$ sub"ect to the condition thatinta3e capacity including these students does not exceed the approved inta3ecapacity sanctioned for each 0ollege.

(b) 2 candidate shall be deemed to be student of a college as soon as he/she hasbeen accepted for enrolment by the rincipal and has paid the prescribed fee forthe course. 4he admission shall however provisional unless regulari5ed by theUniversity.

rovided that nothing in this Statute shall be deemed to require the colleges toadmit to any course of study not more than the sanctioned inta3e capacity in aparticular course in the college.

rovided further that a student of a college who remains absent or fails in anexamination of the University shall cease to be a student of that college orinstitution thereafter and the question of his/her re!admission to the same classof the college shall rest with the rincipal of the college.

rovided also that payment made in shape of fee paid by a student (which isrefundable in case admission or re!admission is refused) does not automaticallyconfirm the right of admission or continuation as a student in the college.

(c) 2 candidate while applying for admission to a constituent/affiliated college shallsubmit with his/her application a certificate of his/her conduct signed by the #eadof the $nstitution in which he/she was studying during the year previous to his/her

"oining the college.

rovided that a student who has not previously attended any college as a regularstudent shall in lieu thereof furnish to the rincipal of the 0ollege in which he/she

desires to pursue his/her studies a certificate of conduct signed by a 6irst 0lass7agistrate or rincipal of any constituent/affiliated college.

4he rincipal of a constituent/affiliated college shall be competent to canceladmission of a student enrolled for a course of study in the college if he/sheremains absent continuously for a period of & days without permission of therincipal concerned.

&. ME'IUM O INSTRUCTION AN' EAMINATION

-nglish shall be the medium of instruction and examination in all papers/coursesexcept in 8riental 0lassical and 7odern $ndian 9anguages where the medium ofinstruction and examination shall be the language concerned.

*. +UALIYING EAMINATION OR A'MISSION

(A) B.A./B.Sc./B.Co$.(G""r#,)

4he ,.2./,.Sc./,.0om.(eneral) 0ourse Semester!$ examination shall be open

to a candidate who has passed the #igher Secondary art!$$ examination(%&' attern) of the ammu and +ashmir State ,oard of School -ducation oran examination recogni5ed as equivalent thereto.

#e/She shall also be allowed to appear in the ,.2./,.Sc./,.0om. Semester!$examination provisionally on fulfilment of other Statutory conditions providedthat the result of the said examination shall be declared only after he/she clearsthe bac3log of #igher Secondary art!$$ examination under re!appear categoryfailing which the admission to the said course as well as permission to appearin the examination granted provisionally in his/her favour shall stand cancelled.#owever a candidate who is placed under reappear category only in one

sub"ect in #r. Sec. art!$$ (%&' pattern) shall also be eligible to see3provisional admission in ,.2./,.0om. in the :irectorate of :istance -ducation.

Semester!$ examination shall be open to a candidate who has passed not lessthan one academic year preceeding to the year of qualifying examination.rovided that in case of a candidate who passes the qualifying examinationunder the category of re!appear in one sub"ect the period of one year shall becounted from the session in which he/she was placed under re!appear in onesub"ect category.

(B) B#c-",or o! Bu%i"%% Ad$ii%tr#tio (BBA) Cour%"

2dmission to Semester!$ of ,,2 course shall be open to those candidates whohave passed #igher Secondary art!$$ examination (under %&' pattern) of the*+ State ,oard of School -ducation or an examination recogni5ed by theUniversity as equivalent thereto and has obtained not less than 1&; of theaggregate mar3s in the qualifying examination in case of eneral 0ategorycandidates and

0ommittee of the 0ollege concerned on the basis of mar3s obtained by thecandidate/s in the qualifying examination.

rovided that Non!overnment 0olleges shall follow the same admissionschedule and procedure/statutes as are applicable for ovt. 0olleges.

rovided further also that the admission to Non!9ocal 0andidates inNon!ovt. 0olleges shall be granted under the second preference category.

(C) B#c-",or o! Co$ut"r A,ic#tio% (BCA) Cour%"

2dmission to Semester!$ of ,02 course shall be open to those candidates whohave passed #igher Secondary art!$$ examination (under %&' pattern) of the*+ State ,oard of School -ducation or an examination recogni5ed by theUniversity as equivalent thereto with 7athematics as one of the electivesub"ects and has obtained not less than 1&; of the aggregate mar3s in thequalifying examination in case of eneral 0ategory and

0. RECOGNITION O 'EGREES

4he University of ammu shall recogni5e the degrees of only those Universitieswhich are recogni5ed by the University rants 0ommission (U0). 6urther theUniversity of ammu shall grant recognition to the degree obtained throughdistance mode provided >

(i) that the degree obtained by the candidate is recogni5ed by the

U0?

(ii) that the degree is granted by University established by an 2ct ofarliament or by an 2ct of State 9egislature? and

(iii) that if the said University is not in the ammu and +ashmir Statebut has been allowed to offer its distance education programme withinammu and +ashmir State by the State ovt.

6urther also the University shall not recogni5e the degrees obtained throughstudy centres/franchises of any University in the country except $ndira andhiNational 8pen University ($N8U) and 7aulana 25ad National Urdu University(72NUU).

. PAYMENT O A'MISSION EE

-ach student see3ing admission to the ,.2./,.Sc./,.0om./,.,.2./,.0.2./#onours 0ourse shall be required to submit the prescribed application formalongwith requisite fee@!

i) for the first and second semester courses at the time of see3ingadmission to first semester?

ii) for the third and fourth semester courses at the time of see3ingadmission to the third semester? and

iii) for the fifth and sixth semester courses at the time of see3ingadmission to the fifth semester.

rovided the student continues his/her studies without interruption from firstsemester to second semester from third semester to fourth semester and fromfifth to sixth semester. $f there is a gap of one or more semesters he/she willhave to fill up the prescribed application form and pay the fee at the time ofsee3ing admission.

4he rincipal of an affiliated college may admit a candidate to a particular class asa casual student to attend lectures or laboratory wor3 in a sub"ect or sub"ectsoffered by him/her for a University examination provided he/she is eligible foradmission to that examination under the Statutes relating to the admission ofregular candidates to University examinations.

rovided that the full particulars of each such student are supplied to the 0ontrollerof -xaminations within a wee3 of his/her admission as casual student.

;. A'MISSION O STU'ENTS 'IS+UALIIE' OR MISCON'UCT/ USINGUNAIRMEANS IN EAMINATIONS

2 candidate who has been disqualified for any specific period from the Universityfor misconduct/using unfairmeans in examinations shall not be permitted to appearin any examination before the expiry of that period. #e/She will also not bepermitted to "oin any college/institution/department at any time during the period ofhis punishment.

Not"89 $n case original qualification certificate of the qualifying examination does notindicate the sub"ects offered by him/her and the information regarding the sub"ectsis essential for determination of eligibility the candidate shall be required toproduce the mar3s certificate issued by the ,oard.

8F$n case the candidate is not in a position to produce the original qualificationcertificate and provisional certificate he/she shall be required to produce the mar3s

certificate of the qualifying examination issued by the ,oard/University. ,ut if themar3s certificate does not indicate the parentage the candidate be required toproduce some other evidence alongwith the mar3s certificate in support of his/herparentage.

rovided also that the conditions governing the issue of -ligibility 0ertificate shallnot apply to such students who have passed an examination of the ammu and+ashmir ,oard of School -ducation.

11. PRO'UCTION O MIGRATION CERTIICATE

0andidates see3ing admission to a college after having been admitted asmembers of another University incorporated by law for the time being in force shallnot be registered unless their applications for registration are accompanied by a

7igration 0ertificate from the previous ,oard/University.

1&. REGISTRATION RETURNS (R/R%)

4he rincipal of a 0ollege or recognised $nstitution shall forward to the 0ontrollerof -xaminations three copies of Fegistration Feturns (F/Fs) containing the nameand other particulars of each student admitted or re!admitted for a particularcourse in that college in Semester $ $$$ * C alongwith a soft copy within B& daysafter the last date of admission on the prescribed proforma alongwith the feeprescribed by the University from time to time.

$f the name of a student is struc3 off from the rolls of a college or institution or astudent migrates to another college or institution such fact shall immediately bereported to the 0ontroller of -xaminations.

1*. LATE EE SUBMISSION O REGISTRATION RETURN

10 REGISTRATION EE

4he Fegistration fee as prescribed by the University shall be paid once onlyirrespective of the number of times the candidate appears at the examinations ofthe University either as a student or an ex!student of an affiliated/ constituentcollege or the department of the University or any recognised institution or as a

private candidate.

No further fee for registration shall be charged unless a studentIs name is for anyreason other than legitimate migration struc3 off from the rolls of a 0ollege or arecognised $nstitution in which case he/she shall pay the fee prescribed by theUniversity to have his/her name re!entered in the Fegister of Students.

1 UNIVERSITY SPORTS AN' OTHER EE

-ach candidate who "oins a college shall besides the Fegistration 6ee as

prescribed pay an extra sum of prescribed fee per year of tuition in a college onaccount of University Sports and other fee as applicable.

12 REGISTER O STU'ENTS

4he 0ontroller of -xaminations shall maintain a register of all students registeredin the University. $n this register name of each registered student his/herparentage permanent address date of birth based on the certificate of the7atriculation/#igher Secondary (-lective) or any other recognised examinationpassed by the candidate the dates of admission or re!admission and/or leavingany college every pass or failure in a University examination with his/her numbermigration any University scholarship medal or pri5e won by or any punishmentawarded to the Student shall be recorded.

-ach entry in the Fegister of Students shall be attested by an officer of theUniversity authorised in this behalf.

No one shall be admitted to any examination of the University unless he/she hasbeen registered as a student of the University.

16 COPY O ENTRIES IN THE REGISTER O STU'ENTS

2ny registered student may at any time receive a certified copy/copies of all theentries relating to him/her in the Fegister of Students on payment of the prescribedfee for each copy.

1; INTER9UNIVERSITY MIGRATION

2 candidate having remained on the rolls of an affiliated/constituent college whohas attended the corresponding course of semester system in any otherrecogni5ed University shall be admitted in Semester!$$$ or C of the course afterhaving passed Semester!$ and Semester!$$/Semester!$ to $C of ,.2./,.Sc./,.0om.(eneral)/,,2/ ,02/#onours course provided the following conditions arefulfilled @>

(i) migration is not being sought to evade the admission requirements of the

University?

(ii) the courses of study prescribed/pursued by the candidate in the University

from which he/she see3s migration are not materially different from thecourses prescribed to be pursued in this University?

(iii) the candidate would be in a position to satisfy all the statutory

requirements prescribed by the University for admission to the course andappearance in the examination.

rovided that such a candidate who has not qualified the Semester examination

with the sub"ects/combination of sub"ects for which he/she intends to see3admission to the next higher class of this University shall be required to qualifysuch sub"ects of the qualifying examination of this University as may bedetermined by the University.

4he mar3s obtained in ,.2./,.Sc./,.0om.(eneral)/,,2/,02/#onours courseSemester!$ to C or equivalent examinations conducted by another University fromwhich the candidate has migrated shall be ta3en into account for determining thefinal result/division (by increasing or reducing the mar3s in accordance with themaximum mar3s of the ,.2./,.Sc./,.0om.(eneral)/,,2/,02/#onours courseofthis University).

1< ATTEN'ANCE IN LIEU O PARTICIPATION IN GAMES ETC.

2ny candidate who participates in games cultural and other co!curricular activitiesas defined below with the prior approval of the rincipal concerned shall for thepurpose of condoning deficiency in attendance incurred by him/her on account ofsuch participation be treated as present on all the wor3ing days during the days ofhis/her absence on such account for a period not exceeding %1 wor3ing days in asemester programme@

(a) State representation in $nternational/2ll $ndia 0ompetitions organi5ed byagencies which are recogni5ed by the ,oard of Sports and Jouth Delfare.

(b) articipation in the $nter!University 0ompetitions held under the auspices of

a University or any other recogni5ed $nstitution as a member of theUniversity team.

(c) articipation in the $nter!0ollege 0ompetitions organi5ed by the University

as a member of the team of participating $nstitutions.

(d) articipation in the N.0.0. N.S.S. and National $ntegration Samiti activitiesas a member of recogni5ed $nstitutions.

(e) articipation in the 0oaching 0amps/Fehearsals prior to participation as a

member of State or University team in the National/2ll $ndia/ $nter!University 0ompetitions.

(f) articipation in the 7ountaineering/#i3ing/4re33ing/S3iing/Foc3!0limbing or

other such activities organi5ed under the auspices of the State

overnment/University as a member of the $nstitution affiliated/recogni5edby the University.

&=. CHOICE AN' COMBINATION O SUB>ECTS

-ach student for the ,.2./,.Sc./,.0om.(eneral)/,02 course Semesterexamination shall offer eneral -nglish as a compulsory sub"ect in each Semestervi5. Semester!$ $$ $$$ $C C * C$ examinations and such other sub"ects/combinationof sub"ects as may be prescribed by the 2cademic 0ouncil from time to time.

&1. SUB>ECTS OERING

(a) -xcept in the case of eology and eography no candidate for the ,.Sc.Semester!$ examination shall ta3e up any sub"ect unless he had ta3en upsame sub"ect in #igher Secondary art!$$ of %&' pattern or an equivalentexamination provided that a candidate having passed #igher Secondaryart!$$ examination with!

(i) ,iology as a sub"ect will be eligible to ta3e up ,otany or Aoology orboth

(ii) 7athematics and hysics as sub"ects will be eligible to ta3e up-lectronics in the ,.Sc. Semester!$.

(b) No candidate will offer 7athematics/2pplied 7athematics for ,.2./,.Sc.Semester!$ 0ourse unless he/she has qualified the #igher Secondary art!$$(%&' pattern) examination with 7athematics.

(c) No candidate will be admitted to the ,.0om. Semester!$ 0ourse unlesshe/she has passed #igher Secondary art!$$ (%&' attern) examinationwith 0ommerce stream.

rovided that a candidate after having passed #igher Secondary art!$$examination in stream other than 0ommerce stream with atleast 1&; mar3sin the aggregate shall be allowed to see3 admission to the ,.0om.Semester!$.

(d) No candidate will be admitted to the ,.Sc. #ome Science streamSemester!$ examination unless the candidate had ta3en up #ome Sciencestream or #ome Science as an elective sub"ect or Science group of sub"ectsin the #igher Secondary art!$$ (%&' attern) examination or anexamination recogni5ed equivalent thereto.

(e) 2 candidate for the ,.2./,.Sc. Semester!$$ $$$ $C C and C$ -xaminationsshall have to opt for the same sub"ects with which he/she passed ,.2./,.Sc.Semester!$ -xamination.

rovided that candidate shall not be allowed to change the stream fromScience to 2rts 0ommerce to 2rts or Science/2rts to 0ommerce. #oweverthe candidate will change his/her sub"ect within stream and as percombination of sub"ects prescribed for Semester!$.

(f) $n case of ,.0om./,.Sc. #ome Science stream a candidate shall have to

opt the sub"ects prescribed for the course by the 2cademic 0ouncil.(g) No candidate will opt Statistics for ,.2./,.Sc. Semester!$ unless he/she has

qualified the #igher Secondary art!$$ (%&' pattern) examination with7athematics/,usiness 7athematics.

&&. AUTHORITY OR PRESCRIPTION O COURSES O STU'IES

4he Syllabi and 0ourses of Study for each sub"ect shall be prescribed by the2cademic 0ouncil. $n case where text!boo3s are prescribed a candidate shall be

required not only to show a thorough 3nowledge of text!boo3s but also to haveability to answer questions of a similar standard set with a view to testing his/hergeneral 3nowledge of the sub"ect.

&*. INTERNAL ASSESSMENT

&; of the mar3s allotted to each theory paper and 1&; of the mar3s allotted toeach practical paper including field wor3 wherever prescribed shall be reserved forinternal assessment. 4he internal assessment shall be awarded and record thereofmaintained in accordance with the Fegulations prescribed for the purpose. $n caseof failure/re!appear category the $nternal 2ssessment earned by the candidate as a

regular student shall be carried forward to the subsequent examination. 4here shallbe t

&0. A''ITIONAL SUB>ECTS

(i) 2 candidate who has passed Semester!$ $$ $$$ * $C examination of the4hree!Jear :egree 0ourse in any of the 6aculties of 2rts Science 9ifeSciences 7athematical Science Social Sciences or ,usiness Studies anddesires to appear in one or more sub"ect(s)/paper(s) prescribed for

Semester!$ $$ $$$ * $C examinations as additional sub"ect(s) shall appear inSemester!$ $$ $$$ * $C as the case may be in the sub"ect(s)/paper(s)concerned provided he/she fulfills the other conditions prescribed underStatutes.

(ii) 2 candidate who has already qualified all the semesters of the

,.2./,.Sc./,.0om. (eneral) course shall be permitted to appear inadditional sub"ect(s) in a Semester/s simultaneously.

rovided that in the case of sub"ect(s) involving practical examination acandidate must have attended at least minimum number of practicalsessions prescribed for the sub"ect(s) in an affiliated/ constituent college.

No formal certificate shall be issued in lieu of having passed Semester!$ $$$$$ * $C examination in an additional sub"ect. #owever a candidate whoqualifies all the six Semesters of additional sub"ect(s) shall be conferred aformal certificate of having qualified the additional sub"ect(s) concerned.

&. MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY OR APPEARANCE IN EAMINATION

2 semester examination for ,.2./,.Sc./,.0om.(eneral)/,,2/,02/#onours courseshall be open to the following categories of students @

(2) 2 regular student i.e. a student who has undergone a regular course of studyin a college for the period specified for that course of study by having been onthe rolls of the college immediately preceding the examination and has his/hername submitted to the 0ontroller of -xaminations by the college rincipalwhere he/she has pursued the course for the examination and has fulfilled thefollowing conditions to be certified by the college rincipal concerned@

i) he/she has been a student of good conduct.ii) he/she has attended not less than K1; of the lecture delivered

including seminars tutorials etc in each course opted by him/her in thatsemester.

iii) he/she has passed in internal assessment.

iv) in the case of laboratory course/practicals he/she has attended notless than K1; of the practical classes conducted (practicals includefield studies wor3shop practice map wor3 surveying etc.).

v) he/she has paid the prescribed fee.

(B) -x!students i.e. students who after having undergone a regular course of

study and having completed all conditions of eligibility for appearance in acourse(s) in a semester examination including minimum attendancerequirement and having passed in $nternal 2ssessment and having eitherfailed to pass the semester examination in that sub"ect/paper(s) or beenunable to appear in the examination in that sub"ect/paper(s) will be eligible toappear as a private candidate in the examination by submitting his/herapplication on the prescribed form along with prescribed fees to reach the0ontroller of -xaminations within the dates fixed for this purpose.

&2 SEMESTER EN' EAMINATION AN' PROMOTION O THE STU'ENT TONET SEMESTER

i) 2 student who has ta3en admission to the ,.2./,.Sc./,.0om.(eneral)/,,2/,02/#onours course will be eligible to appear in anexamination if he/she has attended not less than K1; of the lecturesdelivered in theory/practicals and has completed requirements of $nternal

2ssessment?

ii) 2 student will be eligible for promotion from Semester!$ to $$ Semester!$$$ to$C if he/she has!

a) secured pass mar3s in $nternal 2ssessment of all thesub"ects/papers of the Semester!$/$$$ as the case may be.

b) has appeared in the Semester -nd examination ofSemester!$/$$$ as the case may be.

iii) 2 student will be eligible for promotion from Semester!$$ to $$$ and Semester$C to C provided he/she has passed atleast K1; of the sub"ects/papers oftheory/practicals (separately) of Semester!$/$$$ as the case may be andpassed in $nternal 2ssessment of all sub"ects/papers of Semester>$$/$C asthe case may be.

v) 2 student who has to reappear in a sub"ect/paper prescribed for Semester!$to $C shall appear in the subsequent Semester examination to be held asper the dates prescribed by the University.

vi) 2 student who has to reappear in a sub"ect(s)/paper(s) prescribed forSemester!C * C$ shall appear in the supplementary examination.

&6 CON'ONATION O LECTURES

4he rincipal of 0ollege concerned may condone shortage of a student inattendance in a semester for special reasons to be recorded in writing upto =; ofthe lectures delivered or practicals conducted in each course separately. 2 studentwhose deficiency in lectures/practicals in a course is not condoned by the rincipalof 0ollege or is not condonable shall not be eligible to appear in the semesterexamination in that course but shall be permitted to appear in the subsequentsemester examination if he/she remains on the rolls of the 0ollege as a regularstudent and attends the required number of lectures delivered from the date ofclassification or the date on which he/she has "oined whichever is earlier upto the

2 candidate who fails in ,.2./,.Sc./,.0om.(eneral)/,,2/,02/#onours courseSemester!$/$$/$$$/$C/C/C$ examination but has secured pass mar3s (separately inthe internal assessment and the University examination) in a sub"ect or sub"ectsshall be exempted from appearing in such sub"ect(s) and shall be allowed toappear in the remaining sub"ect(s) in a subsequent examination(s) on payment of

prescribed fee on each occasion and if he/she passes in the sub"ect(s) he/sheshall be declared to have passed the examination.

*. SUPPLEMENTARY EAMINATION

4here shall be supplementary examination for the Semester!C * C$ only.

*2. 'IVISION IMPROVEMENT

%. 2 candidate who has passed the ,.2./,.Sc./,.0om.(eneral)/,,2/,02/#onours course examination from the University of ammu and hasbeen placed in the second division in the aggregate of all the semesterexaminations shall be given one chance to improve his/her division within aperiod of two years of having passed the ,.2./,.Sc./,.0om.(eneral)/

,,2/,02/#onours course examination and for this purpose he/she shallappear as a private candidate in the consecutive examinations in any numberof courses except racticals field wor3 surveys viva!voce etc. 4he mar3salready earned by the candidate in other courses in which he/she does notappear shall be carried forward. 4he result of such a candidate shall bedeclared if he/she improves the division.

. Feappearance in ractical examination shall not be allowed.

B. 2 student who appears in a paper shall carry forward the internalassessment mar3s originally awarded.

Notwithstanding anything contained above a candidate who having passedthe ,.2./,.Sc./,.0om.(eneral)/,,2/,02/#onours course examination insecond division with less than 1&; mar3s from the University of ammuappears in the examination to improve the division but fails to do so his/herresult may also be declared provided he/she secured 1&; mar3s or above.Such a candidate shall have to return to the University the raduation :egreeand mar3s transcripts of all semester examinations in original if issued to

him/her. 4he certificates will be returned to him/her if he/she fails to improvehis/her result under the above provisions.

*6. PASS PERCENTAGE4he minimum mar3s required to pass each paper in a semester examination shallbe *2?of total mar3s in each theory paper ractical (wherever applicable) and$nternal 2ssessment separately.

course examinations who obtain =&; or more of the aggregate number ofmar3s in all the Semesters examination ta3en together shall be placed inthe first division. 4hose who obtain 1&; or more but less than =&; shall beplaced in the S"cod 'i@i%ioand all above

examination. Such a candidate may if he/she so desires be exempted frompassing in the language in which he/she has passed the #onoursexamination.

(b) 2 candidate who has passed Semester!$ * $$ examination under sub!Statute

(a) above shall be permitted to appear in the Semester!$$$ * $C examinationafter a gap of not less than one year from the date of his/her havingappeared in Semester!$ * $$ examination. Such a candidate shall have to opt

the same sub"ects in the Semester!$$$ * $C examination with which he/shepassed the Semester!$ * $$ examination and would be eligible for exemptionfrom appearing and passing in the language in which he/she has passed the#onours examination.

(c) 2 candidate who has passed Semester!$$$ * $C examination under Sub!

Statute (b) above shall be permitted to appear in the Semester!C * C$examination after a gap of not less than one year from the date of his/herhaving appeared in the Semester!$$$ * $C examination. Such a candidateshall have to offer the same sub"ects in the Semester!C * C$ examinationwith which he/she passed the Semester!$$$ * $C examination and would be

eligible for exemption from appearing and passing in the language in whichhe/she has passed the #onours examination.

rovided that a candidate who see3s exemption from passing in thelanguage in which he/she has passed the #onours examination shall beawarded the same percentage of mar3s as obtained by him/her in the#onours examination in the language concerned by way ofdecreasing/increasing the mar3s of each Semester examination in thatsub"ect.

0&. RE9EVALUATION O ANS5ER SCRIPTS

i) Fe!evaluation of answer scripts shall be permissible in each course of a

Semester examination of ,.2./,.Sc./,.0om./,,2/,02/#onours as per theUniversity statutes.

ii) Fe!evaluation shall not be permitted in the practical internal assessmentpro"ect report dissertation thesis * viva!voce etc.

iii) Fe!evaluation shall not be permissible for candidates connected withimprovement of division.

0*. ISSUANCE O 'EGREE

2 candidate who is declared to have qualified all the six Semesters of,.2./,.Sc./,.0om./,,2/,02/#onours 0ourse examinations shall be awarded a:egree in the faculty concerned under Statutes.

00. AUTHORITY TO INTERPRET STATUTES

Dith a view to remove any difficulty arising out of the application andimplementation of these Statutes the Cice!0hancellor shall be competent to give
