TelBruEarth Station Teleport Project
Telekom Brunei Berhad (TelBru) is the privatized monopoly
telecommunication operator in Brunei, operating domestic and
international fixed-line networks to provide voice, data, image,
multimedia, and information services to customers nation-wide.
Since establishment 20 years ago, TelBru Telisai earth station
has purchased and installed teleport equipments inclusive of 3
dish antennae for satellite telecommunication link. Due to aging,
frequent failure, capacity limit, and risk of total break down of
the existing systems, a backup teleport system was proposed,
which would eventually replace all of existing systems.
Telbru earth station backup teleport system project consisted of
two stages. First stage is the teleport infrastructure construction,
including 9m Antenna Subsystem, Radio Frequency (RF)
Subsystem, Base-band Subsystem, and comprehensive Network
management center. Second stage is international network
service connectivity including voice, data, and IP based circuit to
international destinations for backup purpose.
The successful Telbru earth station backup teleport system project
took only 6 months for full cycle of design, purchase, civil
construction, installation, integration, training, and user acceptance
test to complete. CITIC’s professional services and quality
