It was the middle of a hot summer afternoon when I decided to go cycling while the other kids of my block were glued to their video games and television sets.

At the end of the parking lot there was a dark room enclosed by a door, grilled and locked. None of the kids were allowed to go in there.

At night it looked like a black hole, sucking helpless red bugs while they squirmed with fear.

The summer afternoon illuminated only what was lying near the door.

And just when I was about to give up a pair of arms slid around me...

his hands were on mine.

With each deep breath those hands pushed both our weights on the pump.
