FBLA – Future Business leaders of America
• Purpose: To show students an intro to the private business sector, and to some jobs that are available through a business career.•One member placed in top three at
state• Two students competed in national
conferences• Sponsor- Mr. Rushing
Rotary• The purpose is to help the community and
strengthen leadership skills• Each year there is a camp called RYLA that
emphasizes on leadership, teamwork, and helping others• Activities: collect recycling from teachers
rooms, host a blood drive, volunteer for miracle rodeo• This is a great club to get in to for community
service hours• Sponsors – Mrs. Chadwick and Mrs. Rapert
Thespian Troupe:• Organization completely dedicated to theatre• Before you can join thespian troupe you have to be a
member of drama club and have a certain number or participation points• State thespian festival: solo acting, duet acting, group
acting, solo and group music, mime, stage management, costume design• In the summer you can go to international thespian
festival in Lincoln Nebraska
Model UN• Study everything about a specific
country (their economy, politics, religion, wars they are in, etc)• Test your knowledge and compete
against different schools•Basically if you are into politics, you
should join this club.• Sponsor- Mrs. Shoemaker
Science Club• Learn more about science than what
you learn or have learned in class•Volunteer for a Halloween show for
the elementary doing experiments•Gives you an opportunity to serve your
community• Sponsor- Mrs. Hall
Junior Civitan
• Reach out in our community and school• Throughout the year you will have the
opportunity to volunteer for many different activities.• For example: Special Olympics, assisting
elementary with Christmas baskets, Service learning, etc.• Sponsor- Mrs. Hall and Mrs. Green
National Honor Society• This club is by invitation only• You have to have at least a 3.5 GPA• 10 service hours with in a year• You can get a form from Ms. Thielemier• Due by August 28th
