Broadening the Scope of Possibilities
EarthLab Luxembourg was founded in 2015 by internationally recognized players in the areas of earth observation, telecommunications and new technologies (POST Luxembourg, HITEC Luxembourg, Telespazio France and e-GEOS). EarthLab Luxembourg offers innovative services for professionals managing industrial and environmental hazards, integrating earth observation data with varied sources of information, such as social media, internal exposure databases or ground sensors.
This allows players in the insurance sector and industrial clients to more accurately monitor their exposures in real time. EarthLab Luxembourg innovates in the risk management segment, by aggregating and treating data from different sources at high speed. This is done in-house by developing a new generation technological platform. We create information by enriching data applying machine learning and deep learning methodologies in order to identify and better understand correlations and interdependencies. This then allows us to build specific solutions, to create treatment models and finally to generate forecasts tied to crucial markers – in real time. Adding algorithm-treated earth observation data puts these findings into an overall context. We deliver a suite of tools that give early warnings and decision supports, tying to a strategy of mitigating losses and knock-on effects on a global basis.
