Support or Open Standards
T24 is platorm independent and can be implemented on allmajortypesofUnix,includingIBMAIX,HP-UX,SunSolarisandLinux,aswellasWindowsServer2003andIBMzSeries.
T24isdatabaseindependentandcanbeimplementedonOracle,MicrosoftSQLServer,IBMDB2,andjBASE,Temenosown database.
This commitment to open standards, and compatibility with
leading industry standard hardware, databases and operatingsystems, keeps the banks options open as to the technicalenvironment and architecture in which T24 operates - atimplementation time and also, scaling or the uture. Specically, this strategy allows the bank to:
Chooseatechnologyandsystemsizeappropriatetoitsproleat that point in time
ImplementT24onaplatformthatbestmatchesitsstrategictechnical preerence and internal skill set
Achieveanexceptionallylowcostofownershipandtakeadvantage o technology changes and market competition
ServiceOrientedArchitecture(SOA)T24incorporatesmoderntechnologyincludingSOA,fullyenabledforstandardsimpleobjectaccessprotocol(SOAP)webservicesandBusinessProcessExecutionLanguage(BPEL)processexecution, and compliant with industry-leading enterprise servicebuses(ESBs).
TemenoshaslongbelievedinthebenetsofSOAandwehavebuiltstrongSOAcompatibilityintoourproductssince2003.Weare not only contributing to these new standards, but we willensure that our products support them as they evolve.
Incorporating great scalability and resilience
The architecture o T24 means it can be implemented within asimple client and single server architecture, or can scale up to ulln-tier architecture, employing multiple servers in each tier.
This fexibility in solution architecture allows Temenos towork with clients to determine the most appropriate technicalsystems conguration or resilience, redundancy, perormanceand budgetary requirements - the decision, however, isultimately made by the bank, based on its specic needs.
T24 scales dynamically and servers can be added during liveoperations without aecting the service provision. This ability toadapt in a live environment has very powerul implications roma resilience perspective: should a T24 server ail, the other serverswill recover and absorb its load online, until such time as the issuehas been addressed and the original server can be reintroduced.
Resilience o this high standard is absolutely crucial in supportingtodays demands or global or 24x7 processing and it is acornerstone o T24s ability to support a truly round the clockenvironment.
Integration and ull interconnectivity with T24
T24 is channel neutral and oers a common architecture orall channels to interact and invoke unctionality within theapplication. The T24 presentation layer is abstracted rom theapplication.Allfront-endchannels,includingthebrowserclient,use a common access mechanism to connect to the applicationlayer by connectivity methods which are based on consistentindustry standards.
ThebasisforthisconnectivityistheuseofXMLmessagingthrough Temenos open connectivity ramework and the OpenFinancialService(OFS)module.OFSisamessagebased,real-time, on-line interace that exposes all T24 unctionality and, provided the appropriate security criteria are in place, exposesalso the entire T24 database to external, message based systems.
This ability to integrate with the banks requirements orinterconnectivityextendstoindustry-leadingSOAenvironments,with every single T24 transaction, enquiry or workfow processable to be exposed as a Web Service. TEMENOS Data Warehouse
Banksaccumulatevaluabledatarelatingtocustomers, products, channel usage and their internal organisation withintheir operating systems. They oten nd it dicult, however,to deliver this data to their business users in a way that isreadily comprehensible. The diculty is compounded whenseveral systems are deployed, resulting in problems o datainconsistency or omission. Improving data management isthereore an important IT priority. Once this is achieved, business
intelligencetoolsusingOn-LineAnalyticalProcessing(OLAP)can be used to present multi-dimensional views o the data. The results o this analysis help managers to understand theunderlying dynamics o their business, leading to better inormedstrategic and tactical decision-making.
TEMENOS Data Warehouse enables banks to benet rom therich data residing in T24 and other systems, using online ExtractTransformandLoad(ETL)parametersandstoredproceduresto populate an extendable data model, deployed on a standardrelational data base. 7/29/2019 T24 - Product Overview
20/24
In this brie overview, we have tried to highlight
some o the ways in which T24 can help your bankto thrive in the ace o industry challenges.
Butdontjusttakeourwordforit-banksarevotingwith their eet. T24 is the system which more banksare buying than any other: Temenos has appeared inthetoptwopositionsintheIBSSalesLeagueTable
each year or the past ten years. These banks have discovered that T24 provides:
n A platorm or business growth
T24s unctional breadth and depth mean it will continue toprovide support to banks as they move into new business areas;while its ability to provide multi-channel banking allows newbusiness opportunities to be seized as the market evolves. T24is a hugely scalable system, with no known limit to the volumesit can handle. T24 is the ideal platorm to support geographicalor business expansion and on which to consolidate systems in apost-merger or acquisition environment.
n A platorm rom which to compete eectively
Through improved customer serviceT24 helps to organise the banks business around thecustomer, rather than in traditional divisional silos, so givinga 360 degree view o customer relationships which acilitatesenhanced customer service and enables more eectivemarketing and sales campaigns, and improving customerretention and acquisition.
and the ability to rapidly introduce new products and servicesT24s inherent fexibility allows the bank to react quicklyto demands or new products and services and launchnew products within days, rather than weeks or months, achieving unparalleled levels o business agility to maintain
a competitive edge in the market.n A truly global platorm, combined with local support
T24 combines the true 24x7 support necessary or non-stop global operations, with the ability to deliver to a localootprint. Temenos consultants operate rom 44 internationaloces so they understand local needs - local clearing house, paymentsandregulatoryrequirements, forexample.Andtheyspeak the local language: our 2,300 employees encompasssome 60 nationalities and speak over 60 dierent languages. They have delivered products to more than 600 clients in 120countries and, unlike some sotware companies, our clientswill continue to have access to consultants who are amiliarwith their requirements ater their implementation has been
completed: we dont fy people in and then fy them out againoncetheinitialprojectisover.
n A seamless operation rom sales to execution and delivery
T24 is the only truly seamless ront to back oce corebanking system, serving all banking sectors. This integratedsystem approach enables banks to oer superior customerservice, increase the speed to market or new products and runecient banking operations.
n An efcient process-driven operation
T24 is a process-rich system which can deliver signicantbusiness benets particularly in risk management, compliance,
and ront oce support.
n A system or the uture
Temenos has never compromised on the use o open standardsin its systems: T24 will work with any o the industry-leadinghardware, database and middleware solutions. We believe theopen architecture approach constitutes a blue print or the waysystems should be managed over the next decade and beyond,by banks o all sizes wanting to secure lower cost o ownership, fexibility and control over their destiny.
Temenos consistently invests around 20% o revenues toResearch and Development signicantly more than itspeers. This investment in new technology, unctionality and
in meeting new regulatory requirements allows us to deliverproducts like T24 that are consistently state o the art.
n A sound investment
Temenos believes in enabling clients, not ensnaring them.T24 is a truly packaged product - the same standard codeis delivered to all clients and the upgrade to each o itsyearly new releases is straightorward to accomplish. This isespecially important or banks that have extensive individualrequirements to extend T24, as their sotware will continue tooperate seamlessly, without the need or modication, whenthe next release o the standard system is taken.
Temenos approach makes or a much better
investment than that oered by some sotwarevendors who oer bespoke versions o theirapplications, heavily customised during
implementation. These very quickly becomeexpensive constraints when viewed againstthe rapid advances in technology and markets.Temenoshasrejectedthisapproach, whichfostersa dependency on the vendor and can lead to bankshaving to replace their core banking system everyew years a strategy which Temenos does notconsider viable in terms o business risk or costo ownership or our customers.
