WHAT IS THE PORTAL?When Tax residents are invited to complete a Tax Certification form for a transaction, the Portal is the means by which these tax certifications are submitted by investors; managed by your own organization; by the Registry (Computershare) and by the Tax Agent.
The role of the investor is to complete a blank online submission form and upload supporting documentation.
Your role as the broker is to review that submissions are complete and correct, add further supporting documentation when required, and submit the certification in the Registry and Tax Agent workflow.
The use of a portal system means that there is no need to print, post, complete by hand, scan, or email any certification form.

HOW THE TAX CERTIFICATION PROCESS WORKS FOR BROKERS
OBTAINING THE UNIQUE LINK FOR YOUR INVESTORS
Note: You only need to do this once.
Step One: Login to the Portal.
Step Two: Access and copy your unique link
for your organization’s Participant ID.
Provide this link to all the applicable investors
via your own email systems.
INVESTOR SUBMISSIONS
Each investor uses the link to access a
blank certification form, which displays
your broker logo. They complete the
form, attaching relevant documents as
required, and submit it to you.
YOUR REVIEW
Log in to the portal to see a list of all
submissions in all statuses.
You will be able to see a list of all
certificates submitted for your
participating organization.
For each submission with the
Status “New Submission”, you can
review the information for accuracy,
and upload any of your own supporting
documentation. You then submit to
the Registry (Computershare).
REGISTRY AND TAX AGENT REVIEW
The registry will do a review of the
documentation that you submit, and
in turn the Tax Agent will do a review
of submissions made to them from the
Registry.
You will be able to see the status of the
submissions as they move through this
workflow.
• Adding additional documents
and resubmitting, or -

The Registry and the Tax Agent also have the
ability to reject a submission made to them.
In the case where the Registry rejects a
submission, it will appear in your list with the
