Ten Steps All Workplaces Can Take to Reduce Risk of Exposure to CoronavirusAll workplaces can take the following infection prevention measures to protect workers:

1. Encourage workers tostay home if sick.

2. Encourage respiratoryetiquette, includingcovering coughs andsneezes.

3. Provide a place to washhands or alcohol-basedhand rubs containing atleast 60% alcohol.

4. Limit worksite accessto only essential workers,if possible.

5. Establish flexible worksites(e.g., telecommuting)and flexible work hours(e.g., staggered shifts),if feasible.

6. Discourage workers fromusing other workers’phones, desks, or otherwork tools and equipment.

7. Regularly clean anddisinfect surfaces,equipment, and otherelements of the workenvironment.

8. Use EnvironmentalProtection Agency(EPA)-approved cleaningchemicals with label claimsagainst the coronavirus.

9. Follow the manufacturer’sinstructions for use of allcleaning and disinfectionproducts.

10. Encourage workers to report any safety and health concerns.
