Principal’s Report Indigenous Literacy day Today, our school celebrated Indigenous Literacy Day by joining other schools in a live stream presenta on from the Opera House in Sydney. The event gave our audience a celebratory experience of Indigenous language and literacy.
Athle cs Carnival ‐ 18/9 Kandos Public School will hold their Athle cs Carnival on Friday, 18th September. This year, the Athle cs Carnival be a modified format with all students from Kinder to Year 6 a ending. More informa on on this school spor ng event will follow in upcoming newsle ers.
Jersey Day ‐ 4/9 This Friday, 4th September, students and staff are invited to wear their favourite spor ng jersey to school to show their support for the DONATE LIFE network and begin the conversa on with their friends and families about Organ Dona on. No coin dona ons required.
Congratula ons! Staff and students extend their warmest congratula ons this week to teacher, Miss Rachel Turunen and to Mr Nick Rawlinson who were married last weekend. We have delivered lots of best wishes to the happy couple and know that a life me of happiness now awaits them.

Thank you to everyone for dressing in yellow and making daffodils on Daffodil Day ‐ Friday, 28th August. Through your generosity, Kandos Public School raised $168.30 and the money raised has been forwarded to the Cancer Council. A Daffodil Day Colouring Compe on was also judged on Friday. SCHOLASTIC BOOK CLUB
Jersey Day - 4/9 JERSEY DAY is all about promo ng awareness of The Organ and Tissue Authority and the DONATE LIFE network. This Friday, 4th September, Kandos Public Sschool and other schools and workplaces across Australia will wear their favourite spor ng jersey to show their support for the DONATE LIFE network and begin the conversa on with their friends and families about Organ Dona on. JERSEY DAY has been inspired by the story of NATHAN GREMMO who was tragically lost in an accident in May, 2015. Nathan’s family chose to give the gi of life to others to honour the legacy of Nathan’s generous personality. This campaign is all about raising awareness – there is no requirement to raise funds. Simply wear your favourite spor ng jersey to school or work on Friday September 4, 2020 and begin the conversa on with your friends and family about organ dona on.
