MISE-EN-SCENE• At the beginning of the film, you see someone walking down what is

presumably a corridor. The audience might believe that the corridor has an impact on the seriousness of the film as it can be perceived to be a formal opening.

• Later on in the clip, the individual reaches a room and enters it. As they enter you can automatically tell that the room is small, possibly cramped, showing the audience that this is not a typical place to meet someone so it must be something secret.

SOUND

• The film has an indescribable sound repeating in the background. It sound similar to static on a television. This is used in set intervals which adds helps to keep the film flowing at a steady speed. This in turn could help with continuity.

• Also, when the door handle is pushed it creates a non-diagetic feel as the noise is emphasised.

EDITING

• The whole film has been edited into grey scale, further increasing the element of mystery.

• Also since the added the static noise over the top, they synced it to every footstep the character took, creating suspense.

CAMERA ANGLES, MOVEMENTS AND SHOTS

• At the start of the film there is a close up of someone’s feet walking along what is presumed to be a corridor, this shows that the individual is on their way to a location.

• At 0.07 the individual stops walking, hinting that they have reached their destination, and a tilt shot begins. The camera then stops on the persons hand as they reach for a door handle and proceed to open the door.

• As the person walks into the room, you can see another person sat waiting, possibly for the person that has just entered. This adds an element of suspicion for the viewer.

• A conversation begins to happen between the two individuals at 0.42. However instead of using a classic shot/reverse shot, they use extreme close ups of the individuals mouths. This creates an element of mystery for the viewers because the identity of the individuals has not been revealed.
