(NIANTIC, CT) Today, approxi-

mately 85 cadets age 12 to 21,

made their way to Camp Niantic

National Guard Base in Niantic, CT

to in-process for the 2014 CTWG

Encampment.

The Encampment welcomed

cadets from Connecticut, New York,

New Jersey, Virginia, Rhode Island, and

North Carolina. Cadets completed in-

processing and then reported to their as-

signed flights, were introduced to their fellow

students as well as their cadet and senior ca-

dre.

A great week of classes and activities

have been planned for the week, these clas-

ses will provide both new and veteran cadets

in the program with necessary and relevant

leadership training to guide them on their

journey through the Civil Air Patrol cadet pro-

gram.

“Don’t forget sunscreen and full CamelBaks/Canteens. Aim for filling

your hydration gear four times a day. Also be aware of your surround-

ings and use common sense.”
