Throughout history, mankind has deemed the heart the center of love.
But scientists tell us love is all in our mind or brain and fueled by chemicals and chemistry.
When two people are attracted to each other, a virtual explosion of adrenaline-like nuerochemicals gush forth. Fireworks explode and we see stars.
Adrenaline makes our heart race!
Dopamine makes us feel good Amphetamine cause a sense of well-being. Serotonin helps to relay messages

Endorphins are proteins that are similar to opioids. They are made by the endocrine system of many vertebrates.

When endorphin are released into the body, they cause a sense of well-being. It is the "pleasure chemical," producing a feeling of bliss.
Endorphin also acts as analgesics that is, they can fight pain. They are sometimes named "natural pain killers".
Romantic love both exhilarates and motivates us!!!
Those chemicals are what make us want to form families and have children.
Come, gentle night, come, loving, black-brown night.Give me my Romeo, and when he shall die,Take him and cut him out in little stars. And he will make the face of heaven so fineThat all the world will be in love with night. And pay no worship to the garish sun…
William Shakespeare
"Anyone who falls in love is searching for the missing pieces of themselves. So anyone who's in love gets sad when they think of their lover. It's like stepping back inside a room you have found memories of, one you haven't seen in a long time."
Haruki Murakami
Do I love you because you're beautiful,
Or are you beautiful because I love you?
Richard Rodgers
