Since 1986 Elite Hotels has invested in magnificent historic buildings and carefully restored them to their
original splendour. Boasting impressive architecture and unique period features, they all have a colourful
and fascinating past - visited by royalty, aristocracy, world leaders, VIPs and stars of stage and screen - yet
are very individual. The Grand Eastbourne, England’s only coastal five-star hotel, affectionately known as
The White Palace, has breathtaking views of the sea and Beachy Head. Our outstanding country house hotels
are grand mansions with Capability Brown and Gertrude Jekyll designed landscapes and picturesque settings
that include the ‘enchanted forest’ which inspired AA Milne’s Winnie the Pooh stories. What they share in
common is they all provide the perfect backdrop for business or pleasure - which one will you choose?

Whichever hotel you choose, you’re guaranteed to be surrounded by enchanting views. We have estates
created by two of England’s most influential 18th and 19th century landscape garden designers - Lancelot
‘Capability’ Brown and Gertrude Jekyll - and our gardeners have painstakingly restored features included in
their original plans. From manicured Italian gardens to woodland, lakes, tranquil water gardens, intriguing
secret gardens, one of the longest uninterrupted views in Hampshire and the tallest Wellingtonia in Sussex,
our grounds are full of character and provide year-round interest. Marking their significant historical
importance, we host annual garden open days in aid of the National Garden Scheme charity. Our seaside
hotel faces sweeping lawns and gardens and is on the doorstep of England’s newest National Park.
