The Emerald Ash Borer is coming...

Is your community ready? The Emerald Ash Borer is a small green beetle that

WILL KILL ALL OF NEW YORK’S ASH TREES. This means millions of dead ash trees on our

streets, in our yards and parks, and in our forests.

Once an ash tree is infested, it dies within a few years creating public health, safety, and

economic liabilities.

Poster prepared by the Cornell Cooperative Extension Emerald Ash Borer Extension Program: Impact Reduction through Education, Community Preparation, Early Detection and Rapid

Ask yourself: How many ash trees are in my community? How will these trees be treated or removed? Who will replant them? How will EAB effect my community’s budget? What will my town look like after the emerald ash borer arrives?
