The ISIS IOM System
Intraoperativeneurophysiologicalmonitoringhasbecomethe‘GoldStandard’tocontrolthenervoussystemduringsurgicalinterventions.TheISISIOMSystemisespeciallydesignedforthatpurposebyinomedincooperationwithclinicalneuro-physiologicalspecialists.Itstandsintheforefrontofthehigh-performancedevicesontheinternationalmarket.Due to its flexibleconfigurationoptions, it suitsmanykindsofoperationproceduresandcanbedesignedforyourindividualneeds.Takeadvantageofinomed'swell-foundedsystemcompetenceandmorethan20yearsofexperienceinthefieldofneuromonitoringandbenefitfromcomprehensiveactivityaroundtheintraoperativeneuromonitoring.Weworkcontinuouslyonfuturetrendsinamplifiertechnologyandsoftwaretoolsaswellasofferinginternationalapplicationworkshopsandafaston-siteservice.
ISISNeurostimulatorTheISISNeurostimulatorisamultifunctionalconstantcurrentstimulatorforthecompleterangeofintraopera-tiveneuromonitoring.Itprovides12highcurrentstimulationoutputsupto250mAand1directnervestimula-tionoutputupto25mA.TheISISNeurostimulatorcanbeusedwithaspecialsoftwareasastand-alonedeviceorcanbeusedasapartoftheISISIOMsystem,whichiscontroledbythesoftwareNeuroExplorer.Parametersforvariousstimulationmodescanbemodifiedandsavedpermanently.IntegratedintheISISIOMsystem the ISISNeurostimulator allows to use every channel for different neurophysiologicalmeasurementmethods.Thisoptionaswellas thepossiblestimulationcurrentupto250mAandthecontinouscontrolofstimulationelectrodeimpedancesduringthesurgerygivesthehighflexibilityneededforthelateststandardofintraoperativeneuromonitoring.
AdaptorSpecial adaptors for stimulation and recording have colour coded plug-ins, connec-torsandcable.Combinedwithasignificant inscription this leads toaneasyhandling.Electrodesandprobescanhencebeconnectedtothesystemwithoutproblems.
ISISHeadboxEachISISHeadboxconsistsof8inputchannelsandactscombinedwithamedicalcomputerasacompleteunitfortherecor-dingofelectrophysiologicalsignals.AdditionallyanoutputforAEPstimulationcanbeintegrated.Therecordedsignalsaredigitiseddirectly in theHeadboxandare transmitted to thePCviaUSB-interface. Thisenablesoptimal signalacquisitionwithoutsignificantartefactsdespitedifficultconditionsintheoperatingroom.

ISISMERSystemWhenimplantingaDBSelectrode,theintraoperativemicro-electroderecording(MER)techniqueisusedtoensurethattheexpectedtargetpointdeterminedinpathplanningisreached.Thisinvolvesintroducingmicro-macroelectrodesalongaplan-nedtrajectoryandrecordingthedifferingneuronalactivity.
TheISISHeadboxMERoffersthecompletehardwarebasisfortargetpointlocalisationindeepbrainstimulation.Itincludes5MERamplifierchannelsforextracellularrecordingandanintegratedstimulatorfordeepbrainstimulation.Theproductrangealsoincludestheautoclavablerecordingcablesandtheelectrodesnecessaryforrecordingandteststimulation.RecordingcablesareprovidedforusewithboththeinomedMicroMacroandtheinomedMicroMoveelectrodes.

TheelectrodesareintroducedbytheMicroDrivesystemwhichadvancesuptofiveelectrodessimul-taneouslyintothetissue.Hapticfeedbackafteradefinedrotationconstantlyprovidesthesurgeonwith certainty regarding the insertion depth already achieved. The depth sensor also allows thestereotacticpositionoftheelectrodestobetransmittedfullyautomaticallytotheISISMERSystem.

ThesoftwareNeuroExplorerenablestocreateandmemorizeanunlimitednumberofprogramswithindividualmeasurementmodalities.Yoursystemcanbeactivatedwiththeintendedfunctionsbysimplypressingonebutton.
Theflexibilityineachprogramallowsanintraoperativeadjustementofthedisplayandparameterslikecascades,trendcurves,ampli-tudeandtimebaseetc.duringmeasurement.Theintervaltimeforthedifferentmeasurementscanbesetindividually,thusprioritiescanbemadewithoutskippingothermeasurements.ThevideooptionallowstosynchronizevideoandEMG/EPrecordingsinreal-timeforlateranalysisorjustfordocumentation.Remotemonitoringisanadditionalfeaturewhichallowstoseethescreenfromeveryplaceevenoutsidetheoperationroom.
