EUPISD PECRT What is a PECRT?• Physical Education Curriculum Review Team
What does a CRT do?• Creates the region wide curriculum by studying best practices, identifying
curriculum gaps/weaknesses, filling gaps, entering and analyzing data, sharing strategies used in the classroom, joining forces on external programming (Jump Rope for Heart, Walking Clubs), guiding grant writing (PEP Grant)
How often does the CRT meet?• 7 meetings a year. • The school pays for ½ sub and ISD pays other ½ out of REAP funds (Rural
Education Assistance Program). • Approximately 4 CEUs are offered to anyone who attends at least 6
meetings!

A local data example
In this example we have:• A local District, which we will call “EUP
School”• Looking at 4th graders that were tested on
Fitness AND took the MEAP• Weeded down, makes 79 4th Graders
• Purpose: comparing proficiency in Fitness as it is correlated to proficiency in academics.

Setting the scene
EUP FITNESS proficiency for 4th graders was
defined as:• Aerobic: 11 minutes, or less, mile run• Curl-Ups: 32, or more, in 1 minute• And Push-Ups: 12 push-ups, or more
