Program of Work
What is a program of work?
Simply put: the goals and activities a chapter or organization plans to achieve!
Could include activities and goals related to: Leadership development
Service opportunities
Professional development
(connections with business)
Financial management, including fundraising
Social activities
Important to a successful year!
SMART Goals
Specific
Don't be vague!
Set an EXACT goal to achieve
Who? What? Where? When? Why?
A stranger should be able to determine exactly what you want to achieve
Measurable
How can you see progress?
Find some way to see progress within the goal
Smart Goals (Continued)
Attainable
Identify goals that are important to you
Why set a goal that you have no interest in and is too big to achieve?
Reaching
Does the goal push you?
If the goal doesn't push you, go for something harder to achieve
Timely
Set a date to get the goal fully accomplished
If it is a large goal, set target dates for pieces of the goal
Accomplishing an open-ended goal is less likely
Goals need an Action Plan!
This goes back to the Specific in SMART Goals
What tasks need to be completed?
How will this goal be accomplished?
Who needs to do what?
When will each task happen?

Trash-talk an opponent or rival team Actions off and on the field speak louder than words
