Welcoming in the New Year
As another summer comes to an end and we prepare for the Jewish New Year, we want to welcome you back to another exciting Fall season at your Senior Center. There are special events to attend, trips to go on, new groups and classes being planned, and endless opportunities to meet new friends and get involved! A new season is also time for change. Our Free Friday lunch program, as successful as it has been in bringing new people to Sam’s Café, will come to an end as of September 26th. We hope now that you’ve gotten a taste of our delicious kosher meals, you will contin-ue to join us regularly despite the suggested donation of $2.50 per meal. We urge you to consider participating in our quarterly Senior Advisory Council meetings where you have an opportunity to share your ideas, have your voice heard and be a part of making Sam Field Neighborhood Senior Center your “Happy Place”, a phrase coined by our very own staff member, Lynn Cohen. Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 3rd from 12:45 -1:30 PM
