Lanzhou University, Northwest Normal University, Lanzhou University of Technology in charge of the National Scholarship Program, they admit 100 international students studying in Gansu Province every year. At present, there are 9 higher education institutions, 2 high schools and 1 training institution are qualified to admit the international students. At present, there are over 4,000 international students studying in Gansu Province.

Since the Office of Chinese Language Council International Gansu founded, there are over 200 Chinese teachers and volunteers work in over ten countries such as Singapore, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia.
Lanzhou University and Northwest Normal University founded 6 Confucius Institutes in Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Sudan, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Depending on the Chinese Education Base, admitted 100 undergraduates of Dungan Nationality.
