KAIFYS THE UNPUBLISHEDBOOK! is an excellent example of precise writing.
After describing short interesting lessons or stories, certain meaningful questions
have been raised by the author, like an unseen passage, as usually given in EnglishPaper B of examination to judge the language standard of the students.
These lessons and questions are an artful combination of satire and humor. The
reader not only laughs but is also compelled to think. This unique art is the
outcome of keen sense of observation and command over the language to project
the issues in an acceptable and delightful manner, which the author is endowed
with. The Authors deep knowledge about the history, politics and understanding
of prevailing society and rich exposure to the language shows how comfortably he
writes. These memorable write-ups reflect sincerity of intention and ingenuity of
the mind of the writer, who does not deliberately create the humorous situations.

Eng. Rashid Ashraf (Writer, Researcher) Karachi Pakistan
Mr. Kaifys "The UnpublishedBook" provides a series of structured lessons
enabling the readers to explore experiences on humanity and religion. It suggests
guidelines in religious and ethical categories to bring about a caring society. It is
clear that the author has little tolerance for the so called champions of Islam and
those sitting on the helm of the country's affairs! Kaifysbook is disciplined, well
founded and is evident that he is all out to clear the muddle in the educational
institutions. Thus the book should be given a serious thought for its inclusion in
the school syllabus.
The Unpublished Bookinvites the readers not only to read about moral
education but to confront the process itself by a series of questions after eachlesson. It is an excellent book, not only for children but for adults too who have
forgotten the moral values of the preaching of Islam in its true essence!
This book is strongly recommended to anyone really trying to get a hand on
morality.

We have stopped thinking! Yes individually and collectively, anddont even think
over about the daily life problems. What a good saying is that ignorance is
blessing, and as a nation we are very well blessed. One thing is for sure that Kaify
is not blessed with this quality of Ignorance.
I am honored that Kaify chose me, to read the The Un publishedBook and
comment on it.
I have found this book written in a unique way. It starts with a Preliminary Test.
The reader is asked to answer a few questions and only those who fail to answer
would be eligible to read the book.
As we move on from the PRELIMINARY TEST to the book itself we can see how a
story is picked and on the bases of that story our daily problems are discussed. The Questions asked after every story invites the reader to think over and to
answer on the bases of conscience and logic and on top of that, by remaining in
limits of religion and moral parameter.
This book is read by my Kids too, and seeing their face expressions, while reading,
I can say that they got the message. However they expressed their fear that the
book might be censored or banned by publication department to which I asked
them not to worry as there are none left who can understand the satire or read
the in between the lines. Thanks .Kaify,..for such a nice Book.

Naila Shaikh, Educationist , Government Officer
The book The unpublishedBook by Fakhrudin Kaify reminds me of the day in
May, 2010 when for the first time I met with Mr. Fakhrudin Kaify in the teachersroom at University of East, Hyderabad. I was working there as visiting Lecturer,
teaching English to the students of BBA. We started our communication with
introduction, and then the discussion carried on from the topic of CSS to the
problems prevailing in Pakistan. The discussion was very constructive and thought
provoking and I was left with many new questions gyrating in my mind. Mr. Kaify
made me look at the situation of our country in a very new perspective and the
discussion went so long and so interesting that I just didnt feel like ending it up.
The book The unpublishedBook written by Mr. Fakhruddin Kaify produced thesame feelings in me that I felt around two years ago. The lessons of the book are
very interesting, constructive and above all thought provoking. They make a
common reader see things from a different perspective. The lessons and above all
the questions after it trigger new thought in the mind.
The format of the book i.e. the lessons and then the questions give a very
objective look and are reader-oriented. Each lesson leaves the reader with
questions in mind thus making him/her aware of multi-faceted aspect of events.
In the last, I would like to thank Mr. Kaify for giving me this opportunity to edit
the book and I have tried my best to give my due attention and honesty to it. I
hope this translated book by Mr. Kaify himself, with a little effort done on my part
will prove fruitful and produce positive response from the readers.

Translators Note of Caution
(Thanks to Almighty, the translator and the author are same)
Translation is a very difficult task, particularly if the original work is in URDU. Re
writing in English is quite strenuous because thinking in Urdu and writing in
English sometimes create confusion. To be honest, it is not between Urdu and
English only but between any two languages. Every language has its own taste
and value in presenting Humour and Satire, and cannot be reproduced in other
language in the same spirit. The word valuereminds me of translated signs in
English, seen at different places other than English speaking countries.
The following are very appropriate examples of thinking in one language and
presenting it in English.
1. In Paris, a hotel exhibits a sign that reads leave your valuesat the counter
before going to room.
2. At a laundry shop in Bangkok, one can enjoy reading for the best resultsdrop
your Trousers here.
3. Any English man would avoid having water in Acapulco Restaurant after
reading The Manager haspersonally passed all watersserved here.
4. A hair- raising suggestion is seen in Zurichs Hotel Because of the impropriety
of entertaining guests of opposite sex in rooms, it is suggested to use the lobby
for the purpose.
5. And this will make one understand the difficulties a translator would havefaced in Norway, by presenting this translation, Ladies are requested not to
have children in the Bar.
David Mathews the famous translator of Urdu into English rightly wrote, The
greatest difficulty presented to the translator of humor and satire is that so many
of the jokes involve puns and clever wordplay. These are often impossible to
Chinese Premier Chu en lai was addressing in Chinese and his speech
was being translated in English. The translator committed a mistake
in translating, which would have not been noticed but the Premier
stopped and corrected the translation.

render meaningfully in other language.
To this I would add that particularly the equivocal words and verses used in Urdu
cannot be translated impressively in English.
Therefore I have avoided translating such phrases or verses and instead I have
rephrased them with appropriate variations.

Authors Declaration about the English Version
I have no hesitation in declaring that it is the FIRST BOOK OF Urdu written in
English. The English used, is neither American nor British, but its Pakistani.
English Literary Society is therefore advised not to criticize my Grammar,
Composition or Spellings. If they can tolerate American English they can ignore
mine as well.
I have strong reasons for this advice.
Americans spell Humor whereas British write Humour; it wont make any
difference if one writes Humur. (Be sure Pakistanis do not commit such blunders).
Americans, while driving, keep to the RIGHT, British keep to the LEFT. Pakistanisdo not care for right or left; they believe where there is a will there is a way.
English is a strange language where the FEET SMELLSand NOSE RUNS; those
eating vegetables are VEGETARIANS but cannibals are not HUMANITARIANS.
If language is not made an issue I am sure I will be conferred with Knighthood as
well as Nobel Prize for literature. If Salman Rushdie is given Knighthood for his
absurd book in which abusive language contrary to decent literature is used, why I
should be deprived of being known as SIR FAKHRUDDIN KAIFY.
I am awarded or not, I do not care, because in the University where I teach, all theStudents, the Professors and the Management call me SIR KAIFY.

An Open Letter
30th
October, 2012
The Ministry of Education,
The Chairman, Higher Education Commission,
The Vice Chancellors of All the Universities of Pakistan,
The Chairman, Pakistan Text Book Board.
Sirs,
Keeping in view your commitments and priorities, very briefly, this is to remind
you that about 40 years back, the eminent Urdu writer/poet Ibn-e-Inshaa wrote a
book The Last Book of Urdu. He requested Mr. Mir Naseem Mehmood, the then
Chairman, West Pakistan Text Book Board to include this book in the syllabus/
Curriculum for schools and colleges. Unfortunately his humble request was
turned down on a fake assumption that the book would distract their students
from other 566 books included in curriculum.
It is experienced that Mr. Naseem Mehmoods presumption proved absolutely
erroneous because even though the book was not included, the new generation is
distracted - not only from the text books but from each and every book. It would
not be wrong to admit that unfortunately during these years our new generation
has not only abandoned reading habits but parted from Islamic teachings and its
practices too.
It was a blessing that Mr. Inshaa published his book for the general public, and
some of the youngsters like me (40 years back) got a chance to read it. The book
treated various issues quite creatively and by the Grace of Almighty all who read
it are true Pakistani and practicing Muslims, who believe and respect ethics and
moral values. Better late than never, it is to put forward that I have also written a
book containing 45 Lessons and after each lesson questions are asked as a food
for thought.
If the same mistake, committed by Mr. Naseem Mehmood is not repeated, I
assure you that my book would help students in understanding Islam, creating

16
patriotism and building up their characters. It is therefore requested to include
the book in the curriculum for universities and colleges and rectify the wrong
doings of the past.
Presently, the book is being published for the public in general. If the decision isdelayed, then the possibility is that not only student but the teachers would also
be deprived of teaching this book and many a people might lose a chance to go
through this thought provoking book.
Though the books included in the syllabus are also part of literature but inclusion
of this book would undoubtedly compel them to be benefitted by some of its
lessons.
Looking forward to your early response,
I remain,
Yours truly
Fakhruddin Kaify
P.S. Though I have drafted this letter, but I am afraid to post it. I am uncertain
whether the authorities would read it. I am not a prominent figure as Mr. Inshaa
was that the authorities would even bother to open my letter. Secondly, during
Inshaas era there was one province, West Pakistan, whereas presently we are
having four provinces, each having its own curriculum. In such situation one
approval would be insufficient. As mentioned earlier, I am including this letter in
the book with a hope that it might draw attention of the Government so much so
that I would have to arrange for the second edition to fulfill the demand. There isno harm in wishing - but it is also true that if wishes were horses beggar would
ride.

The Authors Confession
(Acknowledgement)
Eminent writer/Poet, Ibn-e-Insha parodied some of the lessons taken from
primary classes text books. Through these parodies, he tried to draw the
attention of the nation towards the atrocities and corruption prevailing in our
country. Apart from whether the nation got his message or not, I was inspired by
these articles so much so that decided to write something in the same style. I do
admit that adopting Inshaas style was not a childs game but there was no harm
in trying. Afterwards the question arose as what to write.
Inshaa had chosen the primary Text book for his parodies. I made up my mind to
incorporate my more than 50 years experience. I took the folk stories narrated by
grannies, parents, uncles and aunts during my life time; turned jokes into short
stories and in doing so I tried to high light the horseplay of politicians &
government officials.
While selecting stories, whether real or imaginary, I preferred to choose
interesting, and entertaining ones. Besides, I was keen to have stories that were
of great help in stimulating the characters of the political, social, and religious and
government officials. I have not focused on any particular topic while selectingstories. Whatever came to my knowledge I developed that into a story. However I
excluded indecency and obscenity.
Every story, happening or joke, whether heard or read, I have reproduced that in
my own words. My efforts proved fruitful and I managed to have sufficient
material for the book.
The title of the book The last book of Urdu by Insha created aproblem for me.
Customarily, in our literary society, juniors do not supersede their seniors. As
Inshaas book was named Last book, I did not like to produce a book after the LastOne. Therefore, I decided to name it The UNPUBLISHED book, but my
conscience was continuously pinching me. It rightly argued that when a book is
published, how it can be called unpublished. I tried to satisfy my conscience
that the word unpublished would be in inverted commas, but it remained
dissatisfied. I tried to appease the ongoing agony in my mind with a lame excuse. I

reminded my inner self that in New York there was a multistoried building
without 13th floor. After 12th floor we were on 14th floor. You did not object
there, why to question now. This worked well and my inner self was satisfied.
Note: At the end of each lesson a few questions are asked to judge the student.
These Questions, whether answered or not, are more important than the lesson.

FOREWARD
Ever since I was a child I have been interested in everything but study. I loved
poetry, politics, drama and games etc.; I was a jack of all trades but master of
none. For some time I was interested in boxing too. I joined a boxing club. One
day my father learnt about my new activity. Sarcastically he advised me that if my
objective is to become a gangster or a street fighter or goonda, I should be a no.1.
So I quit boxing but continued with poetry. A significant number of verses were
on my account but fortunately or unfortunately my collection was lost and I was
left with no choice other than to quit poetry as well because despite my all
efforts, I was unable to rewrite all the lost verses. After this loss, my interest in
poetry dwindled and since then I do not usually write poems/ verses but
occasionally I do come up with one or two verses.
After completing my education a new era began; I joined a firm, got married and
raised my family. Life became tough and all hobbies were abandoned.
Though I had left political activities too but the foolish adventurism, of the
Dictator, Pervez Musharraf drew my attention and forced me to write columns for
newspapers. The main subjects which influenced my columns included
Musharrafs surrender to the phone call of GeneralPowell, dismissal of the Chief
justice of Pakistan and above all the humiliation of Dr. A. Qadeer Khan bycompelling him to apologize, publically for the sin committed by others.
Handing over of Pakistani citizens to USA, which he admitted in his book Inthe
line of Fire also, triggered my hate for him and his policies. More over his
introduction of Modern Islamin the name of so called Enlightened Modernization
and denial of fundamentals of Islam was enough to harm Islam so much so that
Muslims started considering themselves as Non fundamentalist. The supreme
irony is that the fundamental of every religion is based on Peace and Harmony. It
teaches us to respect and be respected. The fundamentals of Islam in particularteach to safe guard the life and the properties of others and strongly denounce
hate, terrorism and violence. Its a pity that due to Pervez Musharrafs policies
Muslims are made responsible for 9/11 disaster, whereas professors of 75
American Universities have provided sufficient proofs that suggest that
responsibility of 9/11 solely laid on America herself.

Coming back to my literary career, I began by writing articles in English. After
writing I used to email it to my friends. Though I did not receive any positive
feedback from my friends but these articles turned out to be a sort of catharsis
for me. Later on I started writing in Urdu also which took the shape of The
UNPUBLISHED Book about which I had already discussed in The Authors
Confession.
Here I take the opportunity to emphasize that the Questions asked at the end of
every lesson are more important than the lessons.

Lesson No. 1. The Fundamentalist
A company introduced software and placed it for display in an exhibition of
computers. The Software Company claimed that by installing their software, one
could ask any question and get the correct answer. Among the visitors was the
president of the country. Being a very witty person, he challenged the company
sarcastically that the software would not be able to answer his question correctly.
The software company accepted the challenge and asked the President, Mr.
President, you may give a try.
The President confidently inserted his name into the computer andwrote What
my father is doingright now? In a flick of a second it replied Your father is
playing cards in a casino in Las Vegas. The President guffawed and said Aha, its
wrong. The Software engineer unhesitatingly replied No, Sir our software
cannot be wrong; as its a basic question let us put it in more fundamentally.
He fed into the computer, Tell us what the husband of Mr. Presidents Mother is
doing at this moment. The answer was Thehusband of the presidents mother
is having coffee with his wife in the Presidents House. On hearing this, a roar of
laughter exploded and the President was left confounded and speechless. Sincethen he became the enemy of the entire fundamentalist. His hatred for
fundamentalism was carried out by his followers to the extent that they even
failed to realize that being a fundamentalist is an honour.
Its a pity that the one who opposes fundamentalism does not know its actual
meaning. According to Oxford Dictionary a fundamentalist is one who abides by
the basic teachings of religion and the basic teachings of any religion calls for
good deeds only.
If given due consideration, it can undoubtedly be said that parting fromfundamentals laid by any religion, leads to evil deeds and wickedness and
everyone, belonging to any religion, ought to be a fundamentalist. It is the denial
of these basic teachings of religion that leads the society to such bashfulness and
disgrace as faced by the President.

Lesson No.2 THIEF OF SHROUDS
In a village there lived a man who used to steal the shroud (A large piece of clothsheet used to wrap the corpse before burial) of the recently buried corpse. People
knew the thief but could do nothing other than cursing him privately as he had
the support of the local police who were his sleeping partner in this business.
The thief was well aware of his status in the society; so he called his son at the
end of his life and asked him to do something for him so that the people may
remember him in good books after his death.
After the death of his father, unwillingly the son had to carry on the same
business as the sleeping partners did not like to lose their share. The soncontinued stealing and selling the shrouds but remembering the last wish of his
father, changed the process slightly. His father used to re burry the corpse after
taking the shroud away; the son, on the other hand, left the body out of the grave
after stealing the shroud.
Now whenever the people found corpse of their relatives out of the graves they
would exclaim with horror, Hell with him! At least his father was gentle and
courteous enough to rebury. The son was happy that now his father was
remembered in a good taste, but it was very depressing that his own position was
at stake.
When he reached to his end, he also called his son and expressed the same last
wish as his own father had made to him. The son thought and planned to do
something worse than his father so that his father be remembered as per his last
wish. He, therefore, followed the footsteps of his father by stealing and not
reburying the dead bodies; in addition to that he also chopped off the nose and
ears of the corpse. Expectedly, the people considered his father a better person
than him as the father at least left the body undamaged.

Lesson No. 3 TWO MOTHERS
Two Women approached the court to seek justice. Both were claiming to be the
mother of a child. Despite all efforts it was difficult to find the original parent. The
Judge, left with no other choice, ordered to cut the baby into two halves and hand
over each dividend to both the claimants. As the bailiff confiscated the baby to
implement the decision of the court, only one of the claimants agreed whereas
the other cried, No sir, please do not cut the baby. Give it to her.
On hearing the cry, the judge ordered to hand over the baby to this woman and
arrest the woman who agreed to cut off the child.
It was a prudent idea that revealed the real claimant, who was ready to give her
child in order to save his life.

Lesson N0.4. THE WOLF & THE SHEEP
NOTE: (Though I had read this story of WOLF in my junior classes, but is so nearto our prevailing New World Order that I am forced to include it in this book).
There was a stream in a certain jungle which emerged from a mountain and
flowed through plains. All the animals, large or small, quenched their thirst at this
stream.
One day a lamb was drinking water from the stream at the foot of the mountain
when a wolf turned out at the head of the stream. While drinking, he observed
the lamb and started thinking for a lame excuse to kill the lamb. According to the
law of jungle it was necessary for Powerful animals to have justifiable reasons to
attack the smaller and powerless to prove them Peace loving, Just & Liberal.
Thinking for an excuse to kill, he shouted at the lamb saying that the lamb was
making the water contaminated by putting his mouth in the stream. The lamb
pointed out that the water was flowing from his side downwards and there was
no chance of water getting dirty. Failing to trap the lamb, the wolf sought another
false allegation; Okay, but what about that you, a year back abused me fornothing and ran away. The lamb innocently said, Sir, but I am just 6months old.
Realizing his failure in cornering the lamb, the wolf jumped on him saying, Then
it might have been your father and now you will have to pay for him.

Lesson No.5 PRAYERS FOR RAIN (NAMAAZ-E-ISTISQA)
Once in a village, people jeopardized famine, as it did not rain throughout the
year. The Sky was clear of clouds. Wells, ponds, rivers and streams dried up so
much so that people decided to offer prayers and ask for Almightys forgiveness
to their sins and to pour rain. They hoped that the Almighty Allah would have
mercy and listen to some virtuous person out of them.
(This prayer for rain, called Namaaz-e-Istiqsa is offered by Muslims in such
condition. It is offered in congregation, outside the village in open field. Adult
men and children gather in the field and offer prayers).
While going to the open field, people smiled at a young boy and made fun of him,
who carried an umbrella along with him. When people lined up for the prayers,
the PESH IMAAM(Muslim Priest who leads the prayers and is titled Maulana),
announced Awrist watch has been found. The owner is requested to come and
get it. Three persons approached the Maulana to claim the watch. The Maulana
sarcastically laughed and addressed the congregation, How do you expect Allah
the Almighty to respond to our prayers when we have such cheaters and liars
among us? I have not found any watch but see three claimants have come for it.
The three claimants pleaded that they were not liars and have lost their watches
in real but people laughed at them.Preconceiving that it may not rain, the paid priest played this trick to make people
realize them of their sins. He himself had weak faith and did not expect the
prayers would be accepted by ALLAH.
The prayers were offered and, as the people, were still far from the village, from
nowhere black clouds appeared and suddenly it started to rain heavily. Men and
children started running in panic except the boy who was laughed at for carrying
the umbrella. He walked cheerfully under the umbrella. The boy was the only one
who strongly believed that Allah would listen to his prayer and perhaps Allah didnot like the way he was humiliated for carrying the umbrella.

Lesson No. 6 LUCK
Hundreds of Years ago, when people traveled on foot, a caravan of 20 peoples
started its journey to another city. As soon as it was out of town an old man
approached and requested to be taken with them. After great hesitation and
argument he was taken along.
About half of the journey the caravan was confronted by heavy rains and a storm.
All the travelers headed towards a large tree for shelter. The tree was large
enough to save them from getting wet. With the passage of time instead of
slowing down, the rain and thunderstorm got worse. The lightening was very
frightening. It appeared that it was coming down to catch the tree under which all
twenty- one were taking refuge. The lightening was continuously flashing and
appeared to be attacking the tree. This caused frustration among the travelers
and they concluded that the lightening was after one of them; due to him others
were endangered. They decided to exclude the unlucky. For this each of them
would leave the tree, walk a little further away and after spending two minutes in
open would come back. The man to be the victim of the lightening would meet its
fate and the others would be left safe. First of all the leader of the caravan left
and came back safe and sound though the lightening crackled continuously. The
second did the same until all but the old man who joined the caravan late.Understanding that he was the unlucky, pleaded that he might not be sent
because by standing with the 20 lucky ones he could be saved. All the 20 persons
did not like to endanger their lives, hurriedly pushed the old man away from the
big tree. As soon as the old man was away from the tree, the lightening
thundered and fell on the tree killing all the 20 people sheltered under the tree,
leaving the old man safe and sound.

Lesson NO. 7. THE BEARD
Beard has a significance value in Islam and is considered sign of respect and
dignity. Albeit it should have been the identity of being Muslim, its a pity that all
the Muslims do not have beard. Some are of the opinion that when they would be
worthy enough to be identified as Muslims they would have beard; whereas there
are others who, believing it is not mandatory to have beard, remain clean shaved.
Apart from these two types, there are other non- bearded Muslims who taking
the advantage of the dispute on the size of beard, prefer not to have the beard.
There were times when People, particularly the females felt safe and secured in
the presence of bearded persons as it was considered that men with sound
character had beard.
Then, the emergence of hippiessubculture in 1960s adversely affected the
MuslimsBeard. The unholy hippie Beard over shadowed the dignified Muslims
beard. Even worse the hooligans and vagabonds also fashioned beard. The
portrayal of bearded negative characters through films also discouraged people to
have beard.
The Titles Mullah, Molvi or Maulana are for the learned scholar in Islam but here
they are mockingly titled for all the bearded persons, irrespective of their
qualifications, piety and learning. It is experienced that people are just calledMaulana due to the beards.
One Politician in Pakistan is called Maulana (maybe) because of his beard. He is
allegedly involved not only in a notorious scandal known as Diesel Scandal but in a
score of other corruptions. God knows whether the allegations are true or not but
for a lay man, smoke is the outcome of fire. He isalso notorious for his Promise
breaking which is a major Sin in Islam. The supreme irony is that he supported the
government for not keeping its promise and while justifying the promise breaking,
he forgot the orders of Holy Quran which strictly instructs to keep up with thepromise.
Its a matter of great concern that for any crime, committed by any bearded
rogue is attributed to the Muslims in general and Islamic Teachers and Preachers
in particular, as for every Islamic Teachers/ Preachers, it is mandatory to have
beard. As a result the entire responsibility is shifted on Islam and its followers.

International Media equally plays its negative role in harming Muslims and Islam.
If a criminal is bearded; it would take no time for media to portray him as a
Muslim criminal. In USA Jack the ripper was arrested for killing call girls. Nobody
bothered to know his religious believes or where he studied. On the contrary a
young chap having beard was arrested for committing the same crime was
portrayed by media as Molvi Sarvar, who was raised in madrasah ( School
imparting Islamic Teachings) etc.
The double standard of the society can be judged by the Beard phenomena only.
99% of Sikhs and all the Jew Priest keep beards but only Muslims get into trouble
if they are having beard.

Lesson NO. 9 PERJURY
Hundreds of year ago, when it became necessary to collect the AHAADEES {the
instructions and sayings of Prophet Hazrat (Prefix similar to Reverend)
Muhammad peace be upon him}, the researcher laid very strict rules to check for
their authenticity. One of the rules was to check the piety of the narrator of the
saying.
If anyone narrating the sayings was found to have lied even once in a life time or
would have been involved in any crime, was excluded and his narrated saying was
discarded. For collecting all the AHAADEES, the researchers travelled throughout
the country to meet the virtuous persons to learn and collect the authentic
AHAADEES.
One Learned Researcher Scholar (the name is not being disclosed) heard about a
very old man to be residing in a far flung area. Being very old, it was expected to
get authentic and firsthand information out of him.
The researcher, after a long journey, reached the old man and found him calling
one of his cattle; and to attract the animal he was using a sack. The researcher
was astonished to see that the sack was empty and the old man was deceiving the
animal by pretending as if it was having food in it. On witnessing this, the
researcher decided not to have information from him and returned back.Even these days, in courts of justice, if anybody, found to be committing perjury
is not only heavily penalized but also become unreliable for rest of his life.
Almighty Allah and his Last Messenger has condemned the liars and promise
breakers. Islamic teachings do not allow perjury.

Lesson No. 10 VOICE OF ALMIGHTY ALLAH
A man came out of his office and headed towards his home in his car. As he was abit late in getting up, there was a heavy traffic on the road. He was driving slowly
when he had to stop at a red signal. He chuckled because it was strange that for
the first time during the last 5 years, he had faced the red signal. He was thinking
about this when suddenly someone knocked the cars window. A small boy of
hardly ten was pushing 4 packs of Milk. The boy begged, Sir please buy these;
these are left, it is very cold and my mother would not spare me for not selling
these. The man thought to give him the price without having the milk because he
did not need those, but decided against it as he hunched that the boy, after takingthe money would not go and try to sell the milk pack at some other car. He took
the packs and handed over the price. The signal went green and he drove off. He
smiled at the unnatural things happening that day. First, the heavy traffic, then
Red signal and now purchasing in between the road which he always discouraged.
Deep in thought he forgot to take the U-turn and proceeded further. Strange
enough he did not curse himself and drove peacefully for the next turning but he
did not get the chance to make the U-Turn as the traffic in front did not allow him
to change the lane. Now the next turn was nearly outside the city. He drove
leisurely; the traffic was reducing now and he easily made the turn and went on.
Suddenly he noticed the red light on the dash board indicating that the car was
heated up. He pulled the car down the road and stopped. He was a bit perturbed
to see the water bottle was empty. He took the bottle and stepped down to look
for water. At a little distance off the road there was an isolated hut. He walked
slowly towards the hut and heard a baby crying violently. The man approached
the hut and called for somebody. A woman, whowas carrying the crying child
came to the door and looked at him enquiringly. The child was so restless that the
man instead of requesting for the water asked why the baby is so restless and
crying bitterly. The woman who herself looked very upset, replied with tears in
her eyes, The baby is starving since after noon; his milk was spilled by some cat
and there is nothing in the house to feed. His father is not expected till mid

night. The man immediately ran towards his car and hurriedly came back with
the packs of milk and handed over to her. The woman was so happy she even
forgot to thank him. She poured the milk into the feeding bottle and gave it to the
child to suck. Once the child was settled for the milk, she turned to him pleasingly
and said, Sir, thank you very much, I do not know how to repay you. You are an
angel who has come to my house. Oh God! If he would not have come to help,
what would have happen? Sir please let me know, how much I owe you. Oh!
Just give some water for my car. I think Allah has sent this milk through me.
The man got the water and in a few minutes he was heading towards his home to
experience something more. Though he was late, his wife unexpectedly did not
question him. Thanking God that the wife was not in any of her bad moods, he
quietly went in to change his dress. When he came to the dining table, he was
dumbfounded to see 12 milk packs of same brand which he had purchased
earlier. Wife noticing his amazement, said, Our neighbors Mr. & Mrs. Syed have
sent these. They got the distribution of this brand and want to have our
comments. He nodded approvingly towards the ways of Allah accomplishing all
the deeds. No doubt HE IS GREAT.

the farm. The farmer had plans to conceal it whenever time permitted. The
farmer was of progressive mind, looking forward to get rid of old things. He
wanted to have latest ways and means for cultivation.
One day it happened that the donkey accidently fell in the well. The farmer
thought at least he got a chance to get rid of that old and useless donkey, but
most of to his annoyance the donkey brayed the whole night. The entire family
could not sleep the whole night. The braying continued so much so that the
farmer decided to throw all the waste material that was piled up for disposal into
the well to bury the donkey. Farmer and his family started throwing all the waste
in the well. In the beginning the donkey did not understand what was happening.
Realizing later, he shoved off all the waste dropped on him and climbed up the
fallen waste. Now the farmersfamily was throwing the dirt on the donkey and he
was shoving off to climb up. After some time the well was filled up to the rim. The
donkey came up as he was climbing up the dirt so much so that he easily jumped
out of the well.

Lesson No. 12 MOUNTBATTEN
After the Independence, at the Oath taking ceremony of the Governor General,Lord Mountbatten in his speech said Pakistan hasnow emerged as an
Independent State; it is advisable for the state to adopt Akbar the Greats
Constitution which is exemplary for its brotherhood and equality. The Quaid-e-
Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah in his speech in return, defiantly advised
Mountbatten There is no needfor you to be distressed for our constitution; a far
better constitution than of Akbars had already been given to Muslims 1400 years
ago by our Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and which is second to
none.Such were the steps taken and responses given by Mr. Jinnah that forced
Mountbatten to acknowledge Mr. Jinnahs discernment, Intelligence and
leadership skills in an interview given to B.B.C. in 1976 before he was murdered.
He admitted I and my entire Cabinet would sit together day in and day out to
draft a resolution; and after making sure that Mr. Jinnah would not have any
insight to understand the secret would present it to Jinnah. To our great distress,
he within a few seconds of undergoing the resolution used to shatter it into
pieces, thereby literary exposing it. Much for our depression, his arguments
would be so argumentative that we were left dumbfounded. Those were the
times when I wished I could shoot him. When asked to compare Jinnah and
Gandhi, he said Entire Congress and Gandhi put togetherdid not match Jinnah.
Regarding Mr. Jinnah's ailment his response was Had I had sensed that his illness
was too severe and he would not live for a year, I would have prolonged the
division to that extent that the division would not have occurred.
Had had it not been concerning to lordsown wife, he would have surely told the
interviewer that when some personal letters of Nehru and lords wife were given
to Mr. Jinnah to be used for exposing their relationship, he annoyingly ordered to
destroy them and said such cheap tactics are against Islamic teachings. It is not
justifiable to ridicule the opponent for our benefits

Lesson No .13 THE ONE EYED MOTHERA boy hated his mother. He thought she was a continuous source of
embarrassment for him as she had only one eye. In place of the other eye there
was an ugly hole. The unskilled stitching made it more horrible and frightening.
When she would bring food or drink for him, the children at school made fun of
him. He felt ashamed of her and wanted her not to come to school. One day out
of rage he said, Why do you want to make me a laughing stock, why do you
come to school. He was oblivious of her feelings. For his love only she was living
a hard life to earn bread and butter for him. She would remain quiet and observe
silence at his harsh words.
As the boy grew up his embarrassment developed into aversion. He even wished
her dead. The Mother did not die but the son did his graduation and left her for
good to be settled in a nearby town. He got married there. Very rarely he used to
contact her through letters. Even when he became father of a son he neither
visited the mother nor called her to his house. The mother waited for four years
to be invited but he did not bother. One day out of love for the son and grandsonshe managed to go to his place. On knocking the door a small boy opened the
door but got frightened to see the one eyed woman on the doorstep. He
screamed so loud that the parents came out. Seeing the mother the son got
frustrated and shouted at her, Why have you come? Cant you leaveus alone.
Hearing this, mother was disappointed but managed to conceal the tears coming
to the only eye. With a very heavy heart she pretended, Oh I am sorry;
mistakenly I have knocked the wrong door.
Few days after, the young man was invited at the Golden ceremony of his school. After the ceremony, the principal of the school gave him a letter and told him,
Two days ago your mother, who was seriously ill for some time, had passed
away. She had asked me to deliver this letter to you.

that you are coming. He promised me that he would bring you to me, but I do not

guilty that I scared my own grandson that day. Dear I reached your place just in
your love and to meet my grandson. I did not know that this eye of mine would be
a burden for me throughout my life and my own son would hate me and leave
me. Son I hope you would excuse me, but believe me I am not to be blamed. It
was just fate that your father passed away when you were a baby. I was working
too hard to make you live comfortably but unfortunately in an accident you lost
your eye. I do not know how I managed a quack doctor to operate and give you
my eye. The specialist eye surgeons had refused to do so. Luckily your eye was
fixed efficiently but he spoiled my case and left me in this ugly shape which
became the cause of your hatred. I hope you will forgive me.
Yours in love
Mom.

Lesson No.14 WHOM TO BE ASKED FOR JUSTICEIt was about two oclock at night. A man was walking briskly towards the railway
station to receive one of his friends coming by train. It was approximately two
miles to reach the station. He had to walk all this long because it was impossible
to get any conveyance at that hour.
The station was outside the city and on its way there was a cemetery and a
MARGHAT(a place where Hindus burn the corpse). Adjacent to the Cemetery was
the ruins of a building which looked very scary in the star light. As he stepped a
few paces forward he sensed someone coming out of the ruins and heading
towards the road. He started walking faster to avoid that someone but before he
had passed by the ruins he came in front of him and asked, Sir, can you please
tell me where the inhabitants of this house went. The query was amazing but his
politeness made him stopped. He was an old man dressed in white. The man
looked at the old man inquiringly but hastily stepped back; a shiver ran through
his spine when his eyes fell upon his hands to see that they resembled the fore
feet of a lamb. With trembling feet he managed to run away recklessly. Withoutlooking back he kept on running to find a Tonga(a horse cart used to take away
passengers) standing in between the road. The coach man was checking the
bridle. The man was comforted to see the Tonga on that dreadful road. He asked
the coachman to take him to the station and took a seat at the back and glanced

LESSON NO. 15 CLEVERNESS
Now it happens that in a village lived a fool. People were of the opinion that if thefools had horns, this fool would be called a stag (animal having 12 horns). One day
the chief of the village humorously suggested him to go to the city to learn some
tricks to achieve some cleverness. Taking this advice seriously, he took some
money and set off for a nearby town. Such a fool he was to take such an advice
seriously.
As he got down off the Bus a thug spotted him. He approached the fool and
asked, You seem to be a new comer to the town; can I be of some help to you.
The fool was impressed and foolishly told him that he had come to learn sometricks to become clever.
The Thug exclaimed, Ahha! Thatsvery clever of you that you have come to this
town, but have you got enough money to pay for learning. Oh yes, I have
Rs.200 and some money for the fare to go back. The Thug was not only kind
hearted but open hearted too, therefore got ready to teach one trick for Rs.200
only at once so that he could return immediately. After taking Rs.200 he said, Do
as I tell you and remember it and practice it on reaching your village. The Thug
then placed his palm on a nearby wall and advised the fool to hit by his fist as
hard as he could. When the fool blew the fist, smartly the thug removed his hand
and the fool banged the wall with full force. Out of pain he looked at the thug
who satisfied him by Saying, this is cleverness. You tried to hurt me but you
yourself got hurt; this is cleverness.Though he was hurt but was happy to have
learned a trick.
He happily returned. After getting down the bus he had to cross a big field. As he
was crossing the field he met one of his friends and he thought to apply the wit
on to him. Informing his friend that he has learnt a lesson of cleverness, asked
him whether he would like to see. The friend allowed him. The fool looked around
for a wall, failing to which he put his palm on his face and suggested the friend to
hit at the palm and see his cleverness. Very cleverly he removed his hand but lost
three teeth.

Lesson NO. 16 THE UNDISCIPLINED WIFE
Mr. Sabir Ali was a much disciplined, cultured man. He was not only a cheerful
person but witty as well. After marriage he was blessed with a son and a
daughter. Things went fine but for three years only, then a change started
occurring in his character. Now seldom he was seen laughing or smiling. He
started coming home late and stopped taking interest in household affairs as he
was extracted to see the house condition, where webs appeared in every nook
and corners; dirt could be seen all over Sofas and beds. The wife was
disinterested in cleanliness. Seeing her indifferent attitude he tried to draw her
attention but in vain. Sometime he turned too angry that the children had to
suffer his anger. Sabir had dreamt of an ideal home, neat and clean; everything in
order and well disciplined, but his dreams did not come true. This was the reason
of his disquietude. When he would come home he noticed dirty bed sheets and
pillow covers, edibles lying uncovered with flies all over. Seeing such filthy
conditions, he had stopped inviting friends. Instead of saving in the bank he had
spent a lot for the welfare of the house. Every electronic utility for comfort was in
the house. Heaters, Choppers, Air conditioner, Vacuum cleaner etc., but all these
were either out of order or broken.
When the quarrelling increased, instead of realizing the cause, his wife would say,It isthe effect of some evil spirit; consequently, Sabir lost interest in the house
and became ill tempered.
An old Aunty of Sabir regularly visited them. She was an intelligent lady. She had
long before figured out the cause of Sabirs disinterest in the house. When she
learnt that the wife is attributing the quarrel to be the outcome of magic and
enchantment, she realized that the wife was superstitious and believed in Magic,
evil spirits and amulets. Therefore to satisfy her she said Do not worry. I will get
you a TAVEEZ(amulet) from a saint and everything will be settled but you willhave to enact according to his command. And yes, keep it to yourself. Theold
Lady had plans to help Sabir, therefore the very next day she came up with an
amulet and asked the wife to put it in Sabirs Pillow andto clean the house daily,
change the bed sheets and coverings on alternate days. She also told her that the
Saint has advised her to take a bath daily at twilight and burnLOBAAN(incense) in

the house to avoid evil spirits. The superstitious wife happily asked,Howmuch I
have to pay the Saint. The old lady hurriedly said, Dont you ever say this. The
saint will be annoyed. He has given this for the sake of the Almighty.
That evening when Sabir came he was amazed to see the change. Wife and
children were cleanly dressed and everything was in order.
The superstitious wife who did not pay attention towards cleaning, now for the
amulet would keep everything clean and tidy. The husbandsannoyance did not
do what the intelligence of the old Aunty did.

LESSON NO. 17 THE WILDERNESS
Somewhere in a jungle there was an animal kingdom and truly, the law of jungle
was enforced there. The beneficiary of justice always happened to be Rich and
powerful. Nobody gave an ear to the weak and poor. One day a pair of parrot
from a nearby town was crossing that area. As it got dark they settled themselves
on a very huge tree for an overnight stay. Seeing the desolation of the jungle, the
hen- parrot exclaimed, What a wilderness prevails this area, as if, an owl inhabits
here. Now an owl, sitting on a nearby branch of the tree, over heard her. Feeling
hurt to this remark, he fluttered to the parrots and sat down beside them. After
greeting each other he offered them to have meals and stay with him for the
night.
Hesitantly, both agreed and the owl took them to his residence. In the morning as
they prepared to leave, the owl pointing towards the hen parrot asked, Why are
you taking her, she is my wife. Hearing this, parrots were flabbergasted. The
Parrot pleaded, Brother, what are you saying, she is a parrot and is my wife. The
owl said patiently, Noneed to quarrel, lets go to the court and get the matter
settled; whatever the courts decide I will abide by that.
All the three proceeded to the court. The judge was informed that the owl is son
of the soil and the parrot is an outsider and unnecessarily claiming the hen-parrotto be his wife. The judge gave a fair chance to the parrot to give evidence in
support of his claim. After a long discussion, the judge was pleased to inform, As
long as the courts are independent and providing justice, nobody can overcome
us. After the speech the ruling was given in favor of the son of the soil.On this
judgment the parrot got unconscious. On recovery, he prepared to leave but the
owl stopped him and asked him to take the wife with him. Parrot was astonished,
My wife! But the court. the owl interrupted to say, My dear she is your wife; I
just wanted to prove you that the rulings are given in favour of the powerful. Inthis case you were not only an outsider but also weaker, therefore order of the
court had to be in my favor. Here the MIGHT is RIGHT; Wilderness is not because
of Owls, it is an outcome of injustice.

Lesson No.19 TWO WEDDINGS
THE FIRST WEDDING
A young Muslim girl came to her father to get his consent. She wanted to marry a
non-Muslim boy. Her mother had died long before when she was a child. Her
Father, involved in politics, could not look after her so she was left in the hands of
her Maternal Grand Parents who were non-Muslims. The father disallowed her to
marry the nonMuslim. She reminded the father that he himself had had married
a nonMuslim. The father corrected her that her mother had embraced Islam
before the nuptial.
(The news of her reverting to Islam appeared in Military Gazette, Daily PAISA and
all other new papers in the publications during 21st
to 24th
April 1918. The Papers
reported that Sir Petit Dinshaws daughter had embraced Islam and married the
eminent Barrister Mohammed Ali Jinnah).
The father tried to convince her and told her if the boy was ready to embrace
Islam he would have no objection. To settle the dispute the father deputed
Maulana Shaukat Ali to convince the daughter and to impart her with Islamic
teachings. According to historian, Rais Ahmed Jafri, the Maulana failed to
convince her and she got married. The father sent a message telling her as she
had disobeyed Allah, she should not come to him.Though its on the record butthe so called religious leaders still consider The Quaid not to be the true follower
of Islam.
There is another wedding which proves that the Lobby working against Pakistan
and its founder is very strong.
THE SECOND WEDDING
The niece, of a supporter of Indian Congress from N.W.F.P. who had worked hard
against the creation of Pakistan, decided to marry a Sikh despite she was brought
up in Muslim family. She was not only allowed to marry but the father bade her
farewell with all his blessings. None of the so called Religious leaders had the guts
to criticize.
The Supreme irony is that such are the persons taken to be Muslims and not the
Quaid.

Lesson No. 20 HISTORY
The Muslims are rightly disquieted for they, the followers of Mohammad
(P.B.U.H) are taken to be backward and conservative as compared to followers of
other Religions. All other Religions such as, Christianity, Judaism and Hinduism are
older than Islam. The Holy Quran came only 1500 years ago, and gives the most
modern teachings for living. Before Islam, newly born females were buried alive.
Men would take innumerous women to be their wives. Islam restricted them up
to four; and even that was under the strict condition of treating all of them
equally. (Itsa pity that this allowance is projected as if compulsory for a Muslim
to have more than one wife. The actual commandment of Restriction of having
innumerous women is not highlighted by the so called Champions of Justice). All
the religious books including Old & New Testimony, prohibit drinking and having
pork but their followers disobey the commandments with impunity. The Quran
not only verified but also reinforced these commandments.
The supreme irony is that the so called Muslim Scholars, Intellectuals and
Religious leaders are impressed and taken away by this propaganda and have
forgotten that all the Holy books are thousands of years older than the Holy
Quran. Therefore they are foolishly trying to modernize Islam. They do not have
the guts to tell the ignorant world that Islam is the latest and the most modernReligion. They do not challenge the critic of Islam to point out at least one
commandment that is against humanity from The Quran.
It is possible that for the followers of other religion, the one who is virtuous and
religious is backward. But according to this theory, Hinduism should be the most
back ward. In Hinduism, if a non-Hindu touches a Hindu or his belongings,
particularly utensils, the Hinduism is jeopardized. Before the creation of Pakistan,
Hindus killed Muslims for committing the sin of touching a Hindu or slaughtering
cows. Islam does not allow this. It says killing one man is tantamount to killing thewhole Humanity. The number of riots in the name of religion that were
experienced during last sixty years in Bharatis thousands time more than those
were seen in Islamic era of 1500 years. The Religious Festivals in Hinduism are
enormous. Just in capital city Delhi, it is common to meet their gods (Cow or
Monkey) on the main Roads. At every nook and corner, coming across the statues
-

of their gods such as Snake, Elephant, Cows and Monkeys are not uncommon;
People stop in front of these to prostrate. You can commonly find well-dressed
gentlemen having colored thread wearing around their wrists. Most of them even
have colored marks (TILAK)on the forehead in between the eye brows. Strange
enough they are not taunted to be FUNDAMENTALIST. (However to be a
fundamentalist is a good sign).
Its an honor for Muslims that they did not have Emperors like others had. Ancient
Egyptians had their kings called Pharaoh. Romans had Caesars (from Augustus to
Harridan) all were called Caesar. EvenRussians up till 1917 adopted the Title of
CZAR for their Kings.
Islam had prohibited for Kingdoms and Empires 1500 years ago,(The modern
world has recently learned about Democracy and even now Kings and Queens are
available in this modern society),but it is not understood that how some Muslim
Kings had come into being.
During Pakistan movement some sycophant leaders wanted Mohammad Ali
Jinnah to be titled as Emperor of Pakistan, but Mr. Jinnah reacted sternly and
disallowed them to call him with such a title. Once some emotional Muslims
called him Maulana to which also he strictly ordered them not to use such titles
for him.
After the Quaid, such flatterers tried to seduce the rulers to become the monarchbut their dreams did not come true. However one usurper planned to be the
Lifelong President, but during his life, he was dethroned and the history remained
without a chapter on Ayub Dynasty. Another Dictator despite hanging a Prime
Minister did not survive to rule over the country till the doomsday. Yet another
Dictator, just to prolong his tenure, not only handed over the sons and daughters
of Pakistan to get Dollars in exchange but also shamelessly confessed this in his
biography. He also dishonored the Nuclear Scientist and belittled the Nuclear
Program. He ordered to burn more than 5 thousand girl students withphosphorus but even afterwards could not become the sovereign power.
After such adventurism this is certain that in Pakistan there is no room for kings
and emperors. Therefore in view of these historical facts a new strategy of
adopting a particular surname for the ruler is being introduced to remain in
power for a considerable period. If this strategy is enforced successfully for ten or

twenty years then all our Presidents would be remembered by that surname just
like Pharaoh, Cyrus, Caesar and Czar. This would not be a strange thing, for the
world is aware of several James, Henry, Louis, Fernando and Abdul Rehman. Even
Popes adopt name other than their own name. Just to remind, Pope Pious XIII,
Pope Paul II and Pope Paul John are worth mentioning.

LESSON NO. 21 KILL THE CAT ON THE FIRST DAY
It is believed that an educated wife would make the married life happy and
prosperous. A man was to be married to a highly educated lady. One of his stupid
friends wrongly advised him, For a prosperous life, the wife should be kept under
the thumb; never be submissive to her, or she would make the life hell for you.
Keep her inspired with awe.
Foolishly he told him about an Old Persian idiom KILL THE CAT ON THE FIRST
DAY. He further guided him to bring home a cat, Before bringing the bride home
starve the cat for a couple of days. When you will take your first dinner with the
newlywed wife, the hungry cat at the sight of dinner will become impatient and
would try to approach the food. Only for once try to stop her, naturally she will
not stay back. At this moment, violently you should take the sword out and telling
the cat you do not like to repeat command, behead the cat. Thus the wife will be
terrified and will carry out your orders immediately.
The man, not realizing that prosperity comes with love, understanding and
respecting each other, decided to follow his friends instructions. After the
wedding formalities were over and both were left alone to have their first dinner,
as per plans the hungry cat was set free, who snapped at the dishes; the husband
in a stern voice commanded the cat to refrain, but in vain. But before he wouldhave taken the sword out the wife shouted at the highest pitch of her voice,
Stop! Dont you ever dare to kill the cat and stain the carpet with blood; you
yourself will have to clean the mess; I have read this story of the cat killingin the
school days. I am not the one to be impressed by such foolish tactics
On her shouting so violently the husband was confounded so much so that after
that day, throughout his entire life he never dared to raise his head before the
wife.
