Vinyasa Flow with Rozie Delgado Rozie casually discovered yoga in 2005. In 2010, she broke her arm in a board sport injury and it was through yoga that she was able to find healing. The practice of yoga has changed her life in so many ways. She felt more balanced, more connected and more introspective. She decided to deepen her practice and received her Teacher Training certification program with Yogaworks in 2012. Vinyasa Flow pays particular attention to alignment, breath and fluid movement. The class is usually paced moderately and is open to all levels offering variations in which beginners and advanced practitioners can find their own personal growth in each class. She plays music in some classes for a more energetic and fun yoga practice. Ashtanga Yoga is a system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures – a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind. Ashtanga Yoga with Simone Bartmann Simone has lived on Boracay Island since 2003 and is well known as a windsurfer and kiteboarding instructor. She has been practicing various styles of yoga as a perfect compliment to her water sports. Her passion for yoga and its mental and physical benefits led her to teach yoga, to share her vast experience. A certified yoga instructor, Simone has participated in several yoga workshops around the world to expand her knowledge of its different styles. Simone's classes are based on the Ashtanga Yoga principle but are conducted according to the students’ experience, making it ideal for all, including those who are not so flexible and those who are new to yoga. Her style of teaching allows time for each student to comfortably come into each posture, practice deep breathing and dynamic movements without over-‐exerting the body. Simone also customizes her teaching to challenge more advanced students to reach higher levels of practice. Hatha Yoga Earth, Water, Air Hatha Yoga with Shaun Hannocks (Shiva) Shaun is currently the resident teacher of the Vessel, handling staff and community classes as well as private guest sessions. A native of Australia, Shaun is also known by his spiritual name Shiva. He founded the Earth Yoga Foundation, which supports community building, and education programs, has reaped the benefits of yoga for many years. He has taught close to 7,000 yoga classes throughout Asia and is bringing the practice to the Boracay for the first time. For Shaun, “The yoga practice hits areas of your body seldom used. It can affect a bodybuilder just as effectively as a housewife.” By warming the yoga space to 38-‐40 degrees, it allows a person’s muscles to relax and soften, encouraging deeper work than in cooler environments. He believes, “You don’t really need any other exercise other than regular yoga. If you enjoy running then certainly run, but if you wish to just have an all-‐round healthy, strong body then this is easily achievable within this one practice.”

“Some people love the side effects of stress relief or weight loss that accompanies yoga practice, however, for me the highest value is in seeing people getting to know and appreciate themselves on a much deeper level which they take out into their daily lives.” It started with a “Cleanse and Purify Thyself” program that led him onto a path of self-‐recovery. He was initiated into Surat Shabd Yoga -‐Supreme Master Ching Hai from 1999 to the present, with thousands of hours of seated meditation through daily practice and group meditations. “It is with great satisfaction and humility that I now find my service has become the process of sharing the gifts and knowledge, passed down to me and received through my own internal realizations. I now represent myself as Earth Yoga and share the experience of just that, experience.” Earth Yoga is designed to strengthen and lengthen the major parts of the body while improving blood circulation throughout your system.
Water Yoga is a strong Hatha Vinyasa flow, a chance to refine some of the more basic asanas.
Air Yoga is a yin practice, long holds on the floor, which focuses on the connective tissues through the body.

She is now based in Southeast Asia, where she continues deepening her practice, meeting other yogis, and collecting new experiences. “All That Jazz” JAZZ DANCING with Ed Aniel Community class, open to adults and to children 8 years old and above. Learn the basic dance steps, techniques and rhythm of Modern Jazz dancing. Jazz dancing is the physical embodiment of the popular music of a given time. A performance-‐style of dancing, you will learn how to move, walk, kick, turn, spin and jump like a professional dancer, and find your own groove on any dance floor. Aside from the moves, your body becomes attuned and synchronized with various types of music. Physical benefits from Modern Jazz dancing include strength, flexibility, agility, endurance and grace. Mental benefits include body awareness, mental alertness, and self-‐confidence. Since a broad range of dance styles are fundamentally based on jazz, students may also learn the basics of dance choreography, from one of the country’s top dance choreographers. About Ed Aniel Ed Aniel began his jazz training with Hotlegs and the Metropolitan Dance Theater at 18 years of age. He studied ballet at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Dance School, where he was granted a scholarship as a danseur within one year. In-‐between ballet classes, he continued his jazz education with the Danny Vinculado Dance Department, Metropolitan Dance Theater, Hotlegs, Powerdance, and Adrenalin. Upon noticing the rising interest in pole dancing abroad and its soulful benefits, Ed decided to introduce this form of fitness to the Philippines. In early 2000, he integrated Jazz with Pole Dancing and developed a brand new dance discipline called Jazz le Pole that combines jazz and ballet moves with pole dancing tricks, resulting in a cardio workout and a new performance dance style. Today, Ed Aniel is the Creative Director of Pole Academy Philippines, the first and leading pole dancing school in the country. In 2009, the International Pole Dance Fitness Association recognized Ed by nominating him as the Manila candidate for Pole Dance Instructor of the Year. Ed's former student (now associate), Eisa Jocson, won the title of Philippine Pole Champion in the First Philippine Pole Dancing Competition in 2010. Another student (now also a PAP senior instructor), Merry Farnal Ballinger, competed in the 2010 International Pole Star Competition and won First Runner-‐Up for Pole Art. It was in the same competition where Ed was honored as the pioneer of pole dance in the country. Celebrities, foreign dancers, teachers and dance professionals, at one time or another, have studied Jazz or Pole Dancing under Ed Aniel.
