They competed with over 64 other
dance teams from around the country.

there were no returners on the team, they worked hard to learn the ropes of this weird and
wonderful competition. Our team placed 4th out of 13 teams in our region and 14th out of 75
teams in the state. Our team score qualified us for the State Tournament to be held at ASU in
March.
Team members were: Benjamin Davis, Luke Sorensen, Gwen Morris, Logan Murphy-Ward, Austin
Wheeler, Ashlee Gibbs, Devon Brandt, Sadie Mudgett and Delanie Sorensen.
Students also compete as individuals in each topic against students in their same GPA category.
Honors are A students, Scholastics and B students and Varsities are C (and below) students.

The Culture, Commitment and Competitiveness philosophy is visible throughout our programs. We are on the verge of a new season and look forward to seeing the Tiger Pride Culture of baseball, softball, track, tennis and men's volleyball this spring season. Our programs have an expectation of Commitment from their athletes to be true teammates and train diligently to be the most Competitive team and individual as possible! The Ladies Basketball team is in the Section Finals this week at Amphi on Tuesday at 5:15 pm. The Lady Tigers continue to show the 3C's philosophy on the court with their opponents being surprised by the talent and tenacity of every team member. This team currently has 21 wins which has not been accomplished since 2008. These Tigers are hungry, they want to win, and they are fun to watch! Hope to see you on Tuesday at Amphi HS! Wrestling "Tiger Style" has three of Marana's finest wrestlers headed to the State Tournament. Congratulations to David Tilley, Travis Howard and Storm Downing who qualified for state in their weight class. All three of these Tigers have lived with the 3C's philosophy and have proven to be some of the best in state. Thank You to their families for allowing these young men to make the sacrifices necessary to reach their goal and represent Marana High. REMINDER: Spring sport try-outs begin Monday Feb. 9th.
