STRIVING FOR EXCELLENCE
During my career I am thankful to have had opportunities and experiences that have expanded my mind and inspired and instilled in me a desire for continued growth. I have a demonstrated track record of challenging myself to achieve higher levels of thinking and knowledge with the understanding there is always more to learn. My international experience working with and managing over 50 nationalities on cruise ships and land based operations provides insight and knowledge of other ways of thinking and achieving results. During my time working at world class hospitality operations I have always been fortunate enough to participate on teams outside of my operation that drive innovation and growth for the companies I worked. I have been involved in property development, operations start up teams around the world, new business development teams and property strategic planning teams. These key experiences and my ongoing passion drive characteristics that support my ability to lead The Club at Las Campanas.
LEADERSHIP A demonstrated leader inspiring people to achieve common goals. During my career and here at the Club at Las Campanas I demonstrated the ability to inspire creativity, increase productivity, encourage the possibilities, and lead a team to a mindset of achieving excellence. The Fitness, Tennis and Spa facility has become integral in creating a mind shift to confidence in our membership as we have had a chance to influence positive change and have a daily impact.
HOSPITALITY A trained and experienced Five Star hospitality professional that can bring a new dimension to the private club experience. The Five Star environment of the hotel and resort business emphasize a personalized superior experience that aims to exceed satisfaction and expectations; a required foundation for every club operation.
MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT An experienced membership development professional with a proven ability to drive membership growth and reduce attrition. Drawing from my experience in creating emotional connections to health and wellness I have had a direct impact on creating an emotional connection to community and improving membership retention.
FINANCIAL ACUMEN A graduate level educated professional experienced in managing and developing pre-opening budgets, capital budgets and operational budgets. My experience and industry reputation has supported my achievement of the Treasurer / Secretary position at the International Spa Association a nonprofit, 2196 member worldwide association which is the voice for health and wellness facilities in 70 countries.
STRIVING FOR EXCELLENCE
EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE A self-aware high emotional intelligence leader with the developed the ability to monitor my own emotions and the emotions of others to support dialogue that drives innovation and improved process. This ability was demonstrated during my first year as we worked through difficult situations and encountered many emotionally charged conversations with an end result of trust and confidence.
PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT A believer in the talents of people, I have demonstrated my ability to develop the strengths and empower employees to create positive change in our workplace and their personal growth. The fitness, tennis and spa facility has transitioned to a place of excellence with the same employees and contractors despite a challenging start. Cross training, skills development, certifications, and continuing education are leading our team strive for high achievements and empowerment has created confidence in their abilities.
PERSISTENCE An energetic, adaptable, no limit hunger supports my quest for the lifelong ever changing goal of excellence. I am aware of the immediate and long term possibilities and have the desire and intrinsic motivation to achieve them. Despite the work and the achievement of our current position I realize and believe that we can always do better and I maintain the energy to try.
INFLUENTIAL A well liked team member, I have developed relationships across property that support our operation. I have worked toward eliminating the silos of our operations to become more flexible in support of common goals. The achievement of success in the fitness, tennis and spa facilities has relied on the cooperation of every department on property and I have developed good working relationships with them.
RESPONSIBLE An understanding as a business leader I am responsible for the actions of my team and when things go right we share in the honor and recognition and when things go wrong it is my responsibility.
TEAMWORK An awareness that it is impossible to achieve greatness alone, it is the ability to engage, inspire and elicit others to take action and work together to grow. We have demonstrated this in our fitness, tennis and spa facility as we work toward common goals and celebrate our success together.
