Toys for Tots The YMCA of Greater Cleveland Euclid
Branch will be collecting new, unwrapped toys
for local youth and foster children. The dona-
tion of even the smallest toy, is sure to make a
child’s Holiday brighter! All donations are
needed no later than Tuesday, December 13th
before 5:00pm. There will be a donation box lo-

Lunch Celebration
We will be celebrating all December
Birthdays on Tuesday, December 20th. Lunch will be
at 12:00pm in the Private Dining Room. Please sign up
for the lunch by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, December
16th! This deadline will be enforced. There is no limit
to the amount of guests who can attend as long as
they sign-up by the deadline! The entertainment on
the 20th will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Main Dining
Room, cookies will be served!
If it is your birthday in the month of December,
you and two guests will eat for free. Otherwise, the
cost for the Birthday lunch is $8.00 for any additional
guest or residents who are not on a meal plan.

December Events On Thursday, December 1st there will be
an Activity Meeting at 10:30am. Come and
join Alicia to plan the January Events!
Hilltop will travel to the Shore Cultural Cen-
tre for the Holiday Tree Lighting. This will
take place Friday, December 2nd. The Hill-
top Bus will depart at 6:00pm with the tree
lighting starting at 6:30pm. Come and kick
off the Holiday season with friends, music
and even Santa! This event is FREE.
On Wednesday, December 7th at
11:00am, 8th graders from Our Lady of the
Lake will be caroling throughout the village.
Heartland Home Health is joining us Thurs-
day, December 8th at 2:30pm to discuss
Music Therapy and Wellness!
Saint Noel Church in Willoughby Hills is
hosting a Christmas Concert! It will take
place Friday, December 9th at 7:30pm.
The bus will depart Hilltop at 7:00pm.
Saturday, December 10th the Junior Youth
group of Church of the Good Shepherd will
be caroling in the 900DR at 6:30pm. Join us
for desserts and fun!
Anyone who may need assistance with
wrapping Christmas gifts, may join Alicia in
the Craft Room Wednesday, December 21st
at 2:00pm. It will be $1.00 a present. Sup-
plies are provided and will benefit the Vil-
lage Store.

Do you like to play cards? The Hilltop Residents get together a couple of times during the week to play cards! On Mon-days at 1:30 p.m. in the main dining room and on Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. in the private dining room, play “Kings in the Corners”. On Tuesdays and Fridays at 12:00 p.m. play “Poker” in the Robert Roth game room in the 300 hallway. On Thursdays at 2:30 p.m. play the card game “36” and have fun in the Library or craft room!
Do you like to play BINGO?
Hilltop sponsors Monday Night BINGO at 7:00 p.m. in the private dining room and also Wednesday Midday BINGO/ice cream social at 1:30 p.m. in the 900 dining room. Hilltop resi-dents get together and play BINGO on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in the private dining room and also on Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. in the private dining room.
Movies!
Every other Friday Hilltop residents can watch the weekly movie at 1:30 p.m. in the 900 Dining Room or 7:00 p.m. in the Private Dining room. Come enjoy some popcorn and a movie with your fellow Hilltop residents!
Bible Study and Fellowship Hour There is a weekly Bible Study that meets at 7:00pm on Tuesdays in the Private Dining Room. The fellowship hour is every other Thursday at 1:30pm in the 900 Dining room.
Village Store Thanks to our wonderful volunteers, the Village Store is open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. We are always looking for new volunteers, please talk to Alicia if you are interested! The Village store is always acquiring new items, so be sure to come and check it out! If any residents are inter-ested, Hilltop is looking for reliable individuals to volunteer in the Village store. Please inquire with Alicia for details.
Ceramic Workshops Ceramics is continuing with Darlene Camp-bell, a certified ceramics teacher. The charge for each workshop is $5.00 and includes all supplies and any assistance a participant may need. Dar-lene also has a catalogue of 100s of molds to choose from, which are an additional fee. The workshops this month are on December 6th, 9th and 20th at 12:00 pm in the PDR. Partici-pants may select a piece and take as much time as needed to create a beautiful ceramic piece. Ceram-ics make perfect holiday gifts and decorations! Make sure you stop by to finish your projects in time for the Holidays!
Grocery Store Swap On Wednesday, December 28th at 9:15 a.m. the bus will go to Dave’s Supermarket, at 11:00 a.m. the bus will go to Giant Eagle and at 1:45 p.m. the bus will go to Marc’s.
Presentation on Health and Wellness This month, there will be a presentation by Caretenders on how to Reduce Stress during the Holidays. This presentation will be very informa-tive and useful this time of year. Join us and enjoy refreshments, a raffle and prizes! The presentation will be on Monday, De-cember 19th at 2:00 pm in the Private Dining Room.
Music There are many opportunities this month to partake in musical activities! Join us for the Meet and Greet, Carolers from the Community, the Christmas Party,
Birthday lunch and even the New Years Gathering to kick off 2012! These activities are a great way to
meet your new neighbors!
Chuck and Diane Polk, 210 The Polk’s are a dynamic duo; a great team that works together. Chuck and Diane have been married for 35 years and have two boys. They have had the privilege to travel to 48 states together as truck drivers. Diane’s fa-vorite state is Texas while Chuck sticks to Ohio because he loves to fish! Diane says, “You’re never too old to excel,” while Chuck states, “You never know till you get there!”
Rhonda Terry, 214 Rhonda is a Cleveland native who is hard at work as a Preschool Teacher. She tries to keep all of her students very busy and loves to write music , poetry and even sing! Rhonda is also in the process of writing a chil-dren’s book. Rhonda said, “It is important to use your brain and to stay ac-tive and healthy. “ (Photo not available).
Gerald and Gladys Fitch, 242 This happy couple has been married for 57 years and are parents to 5 wonderful children! Gladys, a Georgia native, loves to cook, bake and takes a lot of pride in once being a stay at home mom. Gerald has always been a man of many trades. His advice is to “know better, do better!”
T.C. Vincent, 314 Mr. Vincent moved to Cleveland in 1943 from Alabama. He was a fa-ther to seven children. He worked many years as a construction worker downtown and has devoted many hours to his Church. Going to Church is one his favorite hobbies. T.C. looks forward to joining Hilltop residents for Bingo and free ice cream!

neighbors, join and engage in fun ice-
breakers! The Shorehaven Choir Carolers

The price of individual meals at Hilltop will
increase effective December 1, 2011. The
new rates will be: Breakfast $7.00, Lunch
$8.00 and Dinner $12.00. The monthly cost of
meals for those on a meal plan or with meals
in their package will not increase. They are as
follows per month: Breakfast $180.00, Lunch
$210.00 and Dinner $315.00. Also, if you
plan on calling and ordering dinner, you
must do so before noon!
