• LGA’s that work on state road network need to register or engage a registered company from the MRWA list.
• Majority of metro LGA’s will not require registration.• Shires have expressed an interest in registering• Intersections with state roads or work for Main Roads on state

industry award.

Experience• 10 examples of TM implemented on site in the last 3 years. • 3 projects must have client references.• 3 projects must include TMP’s
The examples should demonstrate the companies capability in traffic management and include complex examples such as contraflow or working in close proximity to signals

Personnel
• Managerial Experience
• Personnel Traffic Management Accreditation
• 1 in 20 traffic management employees must be an either a Worksite Traffic Manager (WTM) or Advanced Worksite Traffic Manager (AWTM).
• If less then 20 – WTM and AWTM not required, however can not carry out complex works
• Complex sites require either a WTM or AWTM to be present on site

TimelineTimeline1st April 2015 Applications can be submitted from this date
30th September 2015 Scheme commences. From this date only companies with full or conditional registration can work on state roads.
30th September 2016 Conditional registration period ends. Companies that have not achieved full registration will no longer be permitted to work on state roads.

• Poor performing companies can be suspended and / or deregistered
• Complaints and audits• Non compliance with the MRWA Code of

• Registration valid for 3 years• Registration is not required for TM designers • Registration is not required for emergency works• Registration is not required when working at signals on local
government roads• Registration is required for events on state roads• Registration is required if normal traffic flow is altered. Lane and
