Our Goals In this series, we want to focus on the Watson services that allow you to customize functionality to better fit your use case and industry
Today, we'll be showing you how the Conversation service uses intents and entities to understand user questions

Intents Intents are categories that define what the user is trying to do
These categories are trained using representative examples
Recognizing intents does not require knowing the specifics of the user request—it is a way to guide the dialog flow in the appropriate direction

Entities Entities are specific values that clarify user intent and trigger fine-tuned actions and responses
For each value, you can include a list of synonyms to capture the possible varieties in user expression
