*** NOTICE ***
Ramp work has begun at St. Patrick’s Church. Entrance on the
east side of the church will be unavailable indefinitely. Thank you
for your patience in this matter.
From Deacon Brian
I want to thank all who contributed to our Diocesan Capital Cam-
paign or made pledges. All of our parishes have targeted goals of
monies raised for the parish. 75% of funds raised goes to the par-
ish while 25% goes to Diocesan projects. I want to remind those
who have made pledges to please continue to fulfill those obliga-
tions if you are able. We have lost many parishioners who made
pledges that have been called home to the Lord. Thanks to your
generosity many projects will be completed this calendar year.
* St. Francis: A new church roof.
* St. Patrick’s: A new roof on right side of the southwest
valley of main church.
Landscaping & draining issues have
already been completed.
* St. Mary’s & St. Patrick’s: Have received grants from the
diocese for work on handicap ramps made
possible by the Knights of Columbus.
So as you see these projects in progress, know of my deep gratitude
of your generosity to your parish. Without your financial support
none of this is possible.
I want to thank our directors of religious education; Jocelyn Kelly
(SM), Christine Dumas (SF) and Heather Locklin (SP) for their
hard work in preparing a plan for the safe return of our young peo-
ple for religious instruction. There will be a combination of “in
person” and remote instruction. Thank you parents, our “first
teachers” in the faith.
Finally, thank you for your prayers during my family’s time of
quarantine. Many people reached out by preparing food, grocery
shopping, running errands, etc. We are humbled by your generosi-
ty and your great love of the church.
Have a Blessed Week.
2020 Public Square Rosary Rally for Police Officers
Please join us on September 26th for a Public Square Rosary Rally
for Police Officers. If there is one thing that keeps order in society,
it is the police’s protective presence. The recent riots have tried to
turn the public against the police. Violent activists are blaming the
police for violence and brutality. They are calling for emptying the
prisons and defunding police departments. These measures will not
only make matters worse but catapult the nation into anarchy and
chaos. They produce the ideal conditions for leftist revolutionary
action. The police are under such pressure that they need to see our
support in the public square. They need our prayers. Please come
pray with us and support our police. September 26, 2020 at 12
noon in front of Saint Mary's of the Fort Church.
***Please dress for the weather, umbrella, hats, mittens, etc., bring
a chair if needed...we are usually about an hour outside in front of
the church. We will be outside but we still have to practice social
distancing please!***

Parish Support
Our Lord blesses us a hundredfold for our Stewardship
Sacrifices. Thank you for your support of your parish.
Complete the 2020 Census: Respond now.
It is important to complete the census. Census results affect plan-
ning and funding for education—including programs such as Head
Start, Pell Grants, school lunches, rural education, adult education,
and grants for preschool special education; planning and funding for
infrastructure—including programs for highway planning and con-
struction, Section 8 housing, federal transit, community develop-
ment, and rural water and waste disposal systems; planning and
funding for employment and training—including programs for vo-
cational rehabilitation state grants, dislocated workers, and Ameri-
can Indian and Alaska Native employment and training; planning
and funding for healthcare—including programs such as Medicaid,
Medicare Part B, State Children’s Health Insurance, and the preven-
tion and treatment of substance abuse.
A census response is required from every property, including sea-
sonal homes: If you live at multiple places throughout the year,
count yourself at the address where you live and sleep most of the
time. If you split your time evenly between two or more places,
count yourself where you were staying on April 1, 2020. However,
a census response is required from each and every property.
Vocation Prayer Ministry
JOIN THE MISSION FROM YOUR ROOM The Office of Vocations, Diocese of Ogdensburg
Even when illness prevents you from attending Mass, you are part
of the Mystical Body of Christ! You can join thousands of saints
who have offered up their suffering for spiritual gain. Here’s how:
• Offer your suffering for the men and women Jesus is calling to
be His priests, brothers, and sisters praying that they hear and
respond.
• Each day at 3pm, the time of Our Lord’s death, pray the prayer:
Lord Jesus, this day and everyday, I join my joys and sufferings
to you for the sake of those men discerning a vocation to the
priesthood and those men and women being called to the conse-
crated life. Grant them to know Your will for their lives and
send our diocese many more generous men and women to serve
Your church as priests, brothers, and sisters. Amen.
