♦ Represented XL Capital in its consolidation of six locations into one European headquarters, London. Condo was created separating the lower retail space (owned by Marks & Spencer) from the upper office space. XL sold and leased back its space and booked a profit of $55M in three weeks (from purchase to close). Total transaction value $419 million. XL’s logo is on the building façade.

♦ Represented Legacy­Coopers & Lybrand and Price­Waterhouse in their merger, with a combined national portfolio of 8.0 million SF

♦ Represented Silicon Graphics, involving 800,000 SF corporate campus, synthetic lease conversion, examined various REIT spin­offs, Mountain View, CA. The largest sale leaseback in Silicon Valley history. Sold to Goldman Sachs. Now Google headquarters.

♦ Represented a private equity firm. Structured a sale leaseback of Talbots headquarters and distribution center collectively 846,000 SF. Proceeds reduced mezzanine debt.

♦ Represented The Bank of Tokyo­Mitsubishi UFJ and Mitsubishi Financial Group, aggregate 715,000 SF, including two headquarters transactions, each in excess of 200,000 SF

♦ Representing Anbang Insurance Group. A team led by Fred is the exclusive leasing agents for 717 Fifth Avenue, a 350,000 SF Plaza District Trophy building.

♦ Represented CBS Interactive in the restructure of a 285,000 SF San Francisco headquarters lease, resulting in $24.0 million in financial benefits to CBS Corporation.

♦ Represented BayernLB in the restructure of a 100,000 SF lease with 6.5 years remaining; sold 25% interest in 560 Lexington Avenue.

♦ Represented Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Ltd. in the termination and swap of a lease for 53,000 SF for a lease of 45,000 SF.

♦ Represented the prestigious Dwight School in East Harlem, NYC, 40,000 SF athletic facility.

♦ Represented Sears Holdings, valued and advised for the 2015 transfer of 261 stores totaling 42.0 million SF into a REIT, Seritage Growth Properties. Sears raised approximately $2.7 billion

♦ Represented a private equity firm, valued and advised for the acquisition of Belk Dept. stores, 299 locations, 19 states

♦ Led a C&W Capital Markets and C&W Canadian Team to formulate a broker opinion of value for BCE Inc., Bell Canada’s 10.0 million SF portfolio
