What are your values?
Building trust by getting to know your colleagues.
Game Rules Read each value as they appear. There will be one word
per slide.
You will need a pen & paper (or you could record your responses digitally on your computer, iPad or other note taking device).
Each slide will display one word which represents a value.
You are allowed to choose only a maximum of 5 Values that are “most” important to you. Go with your gut. There is no right or wrong answers.
Are you ready?
Before we start: Why care about what your colleagues value?
Social resources are generated through social relations!
This is a “dimension of school capacity”
“Scholars have empirically identified collegial trust as a social resource that is an important element of school capacity.”

Does anyone want to share? (if I were doing this with a small group, I’d ask everyone to share at least one…with a large group, just those who are comfortable)
Put your hand up in Elluminate! We will share the top 5 students just to get a sense of the diversity of our group (and because the presentation is time-sensitive).
How does it relate to building trust? It not only gives us a “snapshot” impression of each other’s values, paradigms and perspectives, but also helps to build “social relations” and therefore, trust in our school.
