The flagship “Quicksilver”
Vision: Create an opportunity for disabled veterans to experience open ocean sailing, cruising and diving through a partnership with Shake-A-Leg Miami and the Wounded Warrior Project. Once Wounded Warrior Project participants have completed the Shake-A-Leg Introduction to Water Sports program and express a desire to advance to blue water sailing, the Veterans Ocean Adventure Sailing Foundation provides an introduction to cruising in the Florida Keys and the Bahamas. Select participants may continue on to join a leg of an ongoing world circumnavigation.
Through partnerships with Shake-A-Leg Miami, the Miami Veterans Center, Diveheart Military Wounded, Soldiers Undertaking Disabled Scuba (SUDS), the Wounded Warrior Project and Seattle VFW Post 4137 offer ocean adventures and marine trade opportunities to veterans.
