Tree Board Needs Your Help Odell has been listed as a “Tree City” for 20 years now. Our local Tree Board has been committed to this project for that amount of time. However, they are in need of a couple volun-
teers to help them keep this going (Alice Phillips was a member and still takes care of books and keeping track of hours). The board’s duties include: Planting trees on public property, such as parks, cemeteries and schools.
They also take their time to make sure they are properly watered. Of course, rain is always a help to them! If you can help, please contact Marilyn Antons at 402-766-3653 or

See Historical ReEnactor Darrel Draper portray
THEODORE ROOSEVELT, Rough Rider President.
Theodore Roosevelt (18581919) was the 26th President (190109)
of the United States. Better known as “Teddy”, he was famous for his energetic personality, his range of interests, his model of masculinity, and his
“cowboy” image.
Roosevelt’s achievements as a naturalist, explorer, hunter, au
thor, and solider are as much a part of his fame as the many
political offices he held.
During this spirited costumed presentation, watch this beloved historical icon come to
life as you get swept up in the excitement of Roosevelt’s cam
paign for his third term as president!
Performance is at 4:30 pm in the park. This Historical Re-enactment is made possible with the support of Humanities Nebraska

To our many family members and friends, Words can not ex-
press how thankful we are to each and everyone of you. The kindness that was shown to our family after mom (Maureen) passed away is truly amazing and we feel so blessed. Many of you sent a card, gave memorial money, shared your favorite
stories or memories of her, helped set up or clean up (or both!) at the church or commu-nity building, or brought food for the luncheon. We will never know everyone that helped but we wanted those of you who we didn't get to thank personally that your efforts did not go un-noticed. Our family always thought mom was amazing but you all confirmed that. She
touched so many lives and will be missed by all of you as well as her family. Having you around to laugh and cry with during this time has been a comfort to us all. May God con-tinually bless you for the kind-ness you have shown to all us! Sincerely, Ed Pavlik, Judy Flores, John & Jerry Pavlik and our families
