“Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. These commandments are to be upon your
hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get
up.”
-Deuteronomy 6:6-9
THE PROBLEMTHE PROBLEM• Families are struggling
– 50% of marriages end in divorce. - Gallup Poll, 2007
• Parents rely on the church– 85% of parents believe it is their primary responsibility
for the moral and spiritual development of their children.– 68% of them abdicate that to their church. – Barna
Institute
• Spiritual life in the home is almost non-existent– Less than 10% of churched families read the Bible, pray
(other than meal times) or participate in an act of service together as a family. – Barna Institute
OUR PLANOUR PLAN
Re-establish the home as the primary place where
faith is nurtured.
As a church, we have only a limited time each week to influence kids in their faith.
Parents, have the home field advantage. Equipping parents for their God-given role in the
home is essential!
