WESTBROOK SCHOOL
Happy SPRING, Westbrook School Students and Families,
As I write the April edition of the Bobcat, I
am hopeful that SPRING will have arrived when
you read it! Such a long, indoor-recess winter we
have had. I know I speak for everyone when I say
we are ready for sunshine and warmer days!
Our third, fourth, fifth, and sixth graders and
their teachers were amazing during our recent
bout of PARCC testing. The entire experience
ran smoothly! We have several weeks before we
begin the end-of-year assessments which will,
thankfully, require quite a bit less time.
As a reminder, we are heading into a very
busy time of year with planned field trips and
other events! Report cards, Kindergarten
Orientation, Music in Our Schools, and All-
District events, just to name a few; you will want
to keep abreast with the calendar as events are
added. An additional reminder about parking at
these events- please park in a designated spot
and not on the circle as we would hate for you to
receive a ticket!
Congratulations to Sophia Burghoffer in Ms.
Peine’s class! She is a finalist in the Partnership
for a Drug-Free New Jersey “Fun Things to Do
Instead of Drugs” Fourth Grade Folder
Competition! Congratulations to our district!
West Milford has been given the designation
of Best Communities for Music Education from
the Yamaha Corporation of America! And Good
Luck to Collin Clinton and Aksel Malatak in Mrs.
Baldini’s class as they head to the New York
