Comments from
the club
Our Senior teams and Mainland Junior teams are well underway and there is a lot of great football being played and fun being had. Our Junior First Kicks, Mini Football and Fun Football all get underway after the school holidays on the 5th
May. Best of luck to all these players for a great season ahead.
Behind the scenes we’ve been very busy pulling together the Football side of things but also some new initiatives and fun events to help raise funds to help our Club grow and prosper. We will be notifying all members of these in due course and hope you embrace and enjoy them.
We have a great Club Day planned for 26th May at Kendall Park so mark it in your diaries now. This will be full of football matches, food, drinks, stalls and keep an eye out for some special guests to grab a selfie with!
Best of luck to all senior teams playing today. A warm welcome to Burwood AFC who are playing our Senior Men’s team today. Also, best of luck to our Women’s team who are playing Cashmere Tech at Garrick Park in the Premier League.
Enjoy the Football.

Coaches Comments
This week the team are back at Kendall park for our game against Burwood. Firstly a big welcome to all Burwood staff, players and fans. We are coming off the back of 2 losses and will be looking to get back to winning ways at the fortress Kendall Park. Our 2 defeats have been quite close games and brief switch off's of concentration have cost us. The team are itching to get back to winning ways and end the round on a high. We know this will be a very tough task, as Burwood are coming off the back of a 7-1 victory and sit above us currently in the table. Thanks to all the fans for their support and we look forward to seeing a big crowd getting behind the team at our home games.
Many thanks,
Adam

Coaches Comments
This week we play Cashmere Technical at Garrick Memorial Park, who are coming off a bye in the last round. The girls are expecting a tough, physical game and are looking to build on the performances we have put together in the previous two rounds. Although the result was disappointing last week, the manner in which the girls conducted themselves and performed in the second half was testament to their attitude and application thus far.
Many of our squad have been involved in FTC camps and National u17 camps this past week and we congratulate Thais Munoz Lintz and Shane Verma, for their respective selections in the National u15 camp this coming week in Hamilton. All the best from the women's squad. Up the Mak!

Team PROFILE
11th Grade Squad
Waimak red and black 11th grade are playing as a combined squad of 22 players that move around both teams playing in different positions with different team mates through out the season.Myself and Mark hope by doing this over the next couple of seasons when the boys move on to youth football they are more of a complete footballer technically and are ready to move on to the tactical side of 11 a side game with good core skills already in place.
