Community Music Center of Boston is an accredited non-profit music school that provides excellent music education to groups and individuals of diverse backgrounds, abilities and ages. We have been teaching music for 101 years in the multicultural South End of Boston. Our roots were planted in 1910 and through decades of growth and development, our mission has remained strong, focused, and unchanging: to make music education available to all.
Music touches people profoundly, having a remarkable capability to bring out one’s highest potential. At the Music Center, we are all about personal transformation and we believe that when music education creates sparks in individuals, it can change lives.

MUSIC THERAPY
Benefits of Music Therapy- Improved interpersonal relationships- Development of communication - Enriched self-awareness and expression- Increased attention span and memory
Our autistic daughter, who had never
before communicated at any level,
literally ‘found her voice’ in a music
therapy session. This discovery has opened
up a new world of potential for her, and
she is now a musical star at her school for
students with special needs.”
