Can you believe this weather?? It seems like first semester will never end!
It will, of course, and soon it will be time to register for next year's classes and to plan for the summer.
The new block schedule means that your students will have more classes to choose (8 instead of 7 as in previous years). Some will meet every day for a semester. Others will meet every other day.
What courses should they select? What is the process? How can they find meaningful things to do this summer? How can their choices NOW affect their opportunities in the college admissions process? What are colleges looking for anyway?
The PTSA, Guidance staff and Princeton Review have collaborated and planned a NEW informational night for 9th-11th grade students and their parents entitled “Question and Answer Night”. Come to the auditorium on February 2nd from 6:30-8 p.m. and bring your questions.
Nicole Beale, Director of RJR Student Services, will present on registration and courses.Elizabeth Owens, Princeton Review representative, will speak from the college search perspective--what you can do as an underclassman that will set you apart when it is time to apply to schools.Current seniors will give advice to underclassmen -- things they have learned that can help 9th-11th graders along the way.
Information on summer experiences, internships, free ACT and SAT practice sessions and registration will be given too, so PLEASE attend!
