E-Learning Certification Guidelines Log onto ESR/OLM www.esrsupport.co.uk/nlms/login.html) and check your PC compatability by clicking on PC Check (most indicators should be
green especially 2 - 6) Select ‘825 e-learning User’ (left of screen) then select ‘e-learning’ (middle of screen) Change the word ‘Course’ (top LH side of screen) in the dropdown list, to ‘Learning Certification’ then type 825c in the next box, click GO Click on the course title you require then click ‘Subscribe ‘ and ‘Finish’ Click on the yellow briefcase under ‘Choose or Enrol in Class’ then click ‘Apply’ You may now click on the ‘Play’ icon - (if a Security Warning pop up box appears, then click NO, if it’s a Security Information pop up box, you may click YES) Once you have accessed each module and the assessment is completed successfully, click on the Save button (Blue House icon top right
of screen)
HINTS AND TIPS - Please log on via the Internet Explorer Browser, not googlechrome or firefox Please ensure you click on every link and listen to or read every video/audio link If you wish to leave the e-learning half way through, click the House icon (top right of screen) to Save your work

Easy guide to e-learning via ESR/OLM
1. Double Click on the NHS E-Learning icon on your Desktop
If you don’t have an NHS E-Learning icon on your desktopplease contact the IT Service Desk (0800 1814050). Do not use the ESR icon!
2. Check your PC compatibility by clicking on PC Check
If the indicators from Java through to Cookies are anything but green see below), please contact the IT Service Desk (0800 1814050) for assistance. If Internet Explorer 8 sand Screen resolution are yellow there is nothing to worry about.

3. Click on “Log in” then select either the “Login using a Smartcard” or “Login using a username & password” option; On the next screen you will then click on “825 E-learning User” then “E-learning”
4. On your Learning Homepage you will see the word “Course” on the top LH side. Change this in the dropdown options to “Learning Certification” then type in “825c” in the next box and press GO.
5. Select the title of the e-learning course you require, i.e. 825c Health and Safety Awareness | 3 Year | Certification Click Subscribe and then Finish, click on the yellow briefcase to Enrol then click Apply
6. Click the Play icon on the right hand side of the screen to launch the e-learning module – once you’ve completed the assessment don’t forget to click on the BLUE HOUSE ICON on the top right of your screen – this is your save button.
Hints –
Do check your PC compatibility before you start your e-learning
If you see a “Security Warning” pop up box after launching the e-learning then click NO!
If you see a “Security Information” pop up box then you can click YES!
Ensure you click on every link within the e-learning module, also watch/listen to audio/video as applicable
When you have finished the assessment ensure you click on the last screen by pressing all the highlighted arrows (if applicable) until the last one is greyed out, then click on the little blue house icon on the top right to Save your work

HOW TO ADD EXTERNAL TRAINING COURSES/CONFERENCES, ETC. TO YOUR ESR LEARNING RECORD
All staff may now add their own historical, external or non mandatory training by logging onto OLM/ESR either by smartcard (via Patient Care) or user name and password.
Log onto OLM/ESR either by smartcard (via Patient Care) or user name and password.
Once logged on, click on “825 Employee Self Service User” then click on External Learning which is located under “Manage your Career”.
Click on “Add” and complete the necessary fields, i.e. Title, Completion Date, Duration, Supplier, Location, Training type and Status - Click on the dropdown arrow next to “Status” and select “Attended” or “Completed in Another Trust”
Click “Continue” – then “Submit” – (a notification will then be sent to your manager who will ascertain you attended said training). Click Home.
Your manager will then receive a Notification via OLM/ESR and he/she will then authorise as necessary
