The Charter Celebration• The date• Enough time for the payment to reach HQ so
that this allows time for the charter and gavel to arrive• SOM chair should help with the preparation
![Page 13: Webinar Series : Chartering New Clubs](https://reader031.vdocument.in/reader031/viewer/2022020116/56815fcd550346895dcecafd/html5/thumbnails/13.jpg)

of the new club if possible • Make sure that any questions are resolved• Offer to help develop the first budget for the new
club• This may last for a few months up to a few years

Key Things to do:• Have the right people in place to serve on the
SOM committee• Have the right person serve as the SOM chair• Offer the club that is forming one or more ideas
for a service project in the local community• Develop a plan of action and follow that plan
![Page 18: Webinar Series : Chartering New Clubs](https://reader031.vdocument.in/reader031/viewer/2022020116/56815fcd550346895dcecafd/html5/thumbnails/18.jpg)
Key Things to not do:• Do not develop an SOM Committee that
cannot commit to the process of chartering the new club• Do not let too much time pass before the club
is chartered as those who were once interested may lose interest
![Page 19: Webinar Series : Chartering New Clubs](https://reader031.vdocument.in/reader031/viewer/2022020116/56815fcd550346895dcecafd/html5/thumbnails/19.jpg)
