We responded to the mar-
ket need (within Mumias
and the sugarcane growing
zone) with a price promo-
tion which was consumer
oriented. The objective of
the sales promotion is to
make our product accessi-
ble to our farmers, push
and attract new customers,
revive Mumias sugar brand
awareness, create interest
in the market, and stimu-
late demand. We are using
discounts (reduction in
price) during the entire
sales promotion period.

well been received on both
mainstream and social me-
dia on a positive note.

ksh.200, it revived the life of
Mumias Sugar Brand, it re-
vived the lost visibility of
Mumias Sugar brand, it re-

force the Mumias Sugar
brand in the mind of the con-
sumers and it made Mumias
Sugar brand more prominent
in Mumias and its environs.
Our location at the sports
complex which will offer clos-
er access to our target cus-
tomer base (the farmers and
the residents of Shibale) will
be a permanent feature as
from now.
Going forward we will con-
centrate on more targeted
sales promotions in Ka-
kamega, Bungoma and
Busia.
