(SonomaCounty,CA)—WeillHallatSonomaStateUniversity’sGreenMusicCenter(GMC)announcesplansforthe2016–17MasterCardPerformanceSeriescelebratingthe5thAnniversaryoftheopeningofJoanandSanfordI.WeillHall.TheseasonspansOctober1,2016–May5,2017andcomprises31performancesrepresentingthefinesttalentacrossthegenresofclassicalorchestral,chamber,vocalandsolorecitalmusic;jazz,folkandpopularmusic;andworldmusicanddance.“The2016–17seasonisWeillHall’s5thAnniversarySeason,andtomarktheachievementsofthisfinevenue,wehaveplannedashowcaseofoutstandingtalentacrossmanygenresofmusic,”statedCo-ExecutiveDirectorZarinMehta.“Fromaward-winningsoloiststointernationallyacclaimedensembles,thisseasontrulyexhibitsthediversityandexcellenceofprogrammingthisorganizationisnowknownfor.”
