Dear holy family, I cannot say enough “thank you” for all the support provided for all our youth events this summer. On a different note, we are work-ing with the list of projects to improve the church building and facilities. Many of you have been asking for an update on the rectory. We are presently searching for an architect to design the rectory com-bined with the other two needs: extra classroom and storage space. And as promised, we will not do anything until we have the money to pay for it. Peace, Fr. José
Catechesis Corner St. Ignatius of Loyola-
The Examen is a method of reviewing your day in the presence of God. It’s actually an attitude more than a method, a time set aside for thankful reflection on where God is in your everyday life. It has five steps, which most people take more or less in order, and it usually takes 15 to 20 minutes per day. Here are the 5 steps in a nutshell: 1. Ask God for light. (I want to look at my day with God’s
eyes, not merely my own) 2. Give thanks (the day I have just lived is a gift from God.
Be grateful for it) 3. Review the day (I carefully look back on the day just
completed, being guided by the Holy Spirit) 4. Face your shortcomings (I face up to what is wrong—in
my life and in me) 5. Look toward the day to come (I ask where I need God in
the day to come)

Prayer for Generosity
Lord Jesus, teach me to be generous;
teach me to serve you as you deserve,
to give and not to count the cost,
to fight and not to heed the wounds,
to toil and not to seek for rest,
To labour and not to seek reward,
except that of knowing that I do your will.
Amen.
