WeTogether has evolved, both in terms of personal growthand as a group together. As a group, we believe everysmall action can make an impact and this journey hasprovided us a platform to grow and connect with diversegroups with similar objectives. We have gained a deeperunderstanding of the SDGs and developed projects basedon the SDGs we chose to support.

We supported SDG 12 by reducing our plastic usage &carbon footprint and encouraging others to do the same.By spreading awareness about climate change in the formof webinars, presentations, videos, and digital posters wepromoted SDG 13. Through the Kids' Webinar, wesucceeded in promoting SDG 14 by explaining andactively engaging the youth, on the topics of marineendangerment and being more responsible. We worked onSDG 15, by hosting plastic collection drives, recyclingthem, and planning a beach clean-up campaign. We alsocollaborated and partnered with different youthorganizations & groups to work on some of our projects,thereby working on SDG 17. In addition to this, we alsopromoted a variety of Sustainable Development Goals byjoining hands and posting informative posts on our socialmedia pages.

The importance of the concept of sustainability andsustainable development goals has been increasing as thenumber of geographical and economical issues has beenincreasing a great deal. As more people around us urge onthe acknowledgement of this issue, we really felt like we hadto do something about it.

Cooperated with youth organizations: GiC, Curae, andGreenpeace to organize Eco Loci, an international ecoconference.Conducted a Kids’ Webinar on environmental topicsRecycled about 55 lbs of newspaper and household plasticConducted an international plastic collection drive incooperation with 3 youth-led organizations.Hosted class presentations to share our progress and future plansroutinelyWorked with other groups based on their SDGs to make posts aspart of the SDG collaboration initiative.Frequently took part in Fridays For Future digital climate strikesand encouraged our fellow friends to do the same. prepared 3 informative videos about climate change forspreading awareness.Took part and gave a presentation about carbon footprint as partof Earth Day 2021.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our movements wererestricted. It was quite difficult to share our opinionswith each other while being quarantined, without anyface-to-face contact. Many of our pre-plannedprojects had to be put to a halt. In the beginning, wedid feel a sense of hopelessness creep in; however, wedeveloped a valuable skill: learning how to

turn obstacles into opportunities.

When climate strikes and climate activism quicklyadapted to the new normal, it gave us hope. Welearned to turn these obstacles into opportunities togrow internationally and make our opinions be heardglobally. We were able to connect with people fromdifferent backgrounds and various other groups thathad goals similar to ours, thus coming togetheragainst this battle of climate change.

During this 6 month journey,

And most importantlywe have been able to make animpact and were able toachieve our goal of makingpeople aware of the rootcauses of climate change.
