• This style of notebook uses both the right and left-brain
hemispheres to help sort, categorize and be creative with
the newly attained knowledge.
• The right side of the notebook is for writing down
information given by the teacher (Cornell notes,
vocabulary, video notes, performance tasks, etc.).
• The left side of the notebook shows the understanding of
the information from the right side (brainstorming,
computation, reflections, drawings/figures, etc.).

Materials for MSG
• 1-subjet spiral notebook or composition book
• Colored pencils
• Do not use markers – tend to bleed through
• Highlighters
• Sticky notes (optional)
• Lots of Glue sticks (large ones work best)
• Scissors

Step 1• Paste/Tape Formula
Sheet on Inside Cover.
Step 2• Number the bottom
corner of EVERY page. Front and Back.
Step 3• Paste Table of Contents
on pages 2-4 in notebook.

Step 4• Tape Bookmark to inside
of back cover.
Step 5• Glue envelope on top of
bookmark.
Step 6 (optional)Tape a large straw to the spine of the
notebook for a pencil holder.
