What is the initiative I achieved as part of my Work Plan on Return?
(click to edit) OBJECTIVES
What have I learnt?
Slum Upgrading plan should be all inclusive which call for an
organized negotiation and organization.
It is possible to push ideas learnt with clear plans if you know the
leaders with influence.
Urban areas can add food into the national total food produced.
There are critical gaps that need to be addressed for success in
projects:
-Inadequate linkages
-insufficient technical information
-insufficient market information
-Lack of livestock insurance
There is low funding in the livestock projects because it takes
time to see results however it is sustainable and resilient.
What next? Follow up of the proposals
Prepare other concept notes and sought for funding
Replicate initiative in other institutions. Advocate for the generation of Bio-gas from the dairy units which is
environmentally friendly
Advocate the use of farm manure in the farm so as to reduce environmental damage
