DEADLINE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTSFILING FOR F-1 VISA STATUS:

Upon successful completion of all the admissions requirements, you will receive aletter of acceptance, your Form I-20, and information about your registering for classes.
Transfer students must provide an official transcript to have creditapplied towards their chosen program. Depending on the time available, an unofficial transcript may be accepted for preliminary purposes, namely to ensure a student has met prerequisite require-ments and to determine if they may be exempt from having to takethe HCCC College Placement Test (CPT).
Students that are permitted to register using an unofficial transcriptmust have their official transcript evaluated prior to being permittedto register for the following semester. It is recommended that students attempt to obtain an official transcript in a sealed andunopened envelope, and present the official transcript at time ofapplication to HCCC.
For more information please visit: www.hccc.edu/transfer
Visiting students from other institutions, seeking to enroll short-term,are permitted to enroll as Non-Matriculating students. In mostinstances visiting students should provide a “Permission Letter” from their home institution stipulating the course offered at HCCCthat they are allowing the student to take. With such a document theneed for a transcript is not necessary.
The process above ensures that the home institution will accept thecredits from HCCC, thereby providing an element of academic secu-rity to the student. Many home institutions may not accept the credit,as a result of the students not seeking such permission, or a leave ofabsence if matriculated.
Visiting Students who are unable to obtain a “Permission Letter”should follow the procedures for Transfer Students.

Save time and hundreds of dollars in tuition costs by reviewing EdReady’s Math Placement study tool.
All new HCCC students are required to take the College Placement Test (Accuplacer). It is important that you take the College Placement Test (CPT) seriously. Dependingon your score, you may have to register for – and pay to take – additional coursesthat do not earn college credit or count toward graduation.Visit www.hccc.edu/testing to learn more about placement tests – including the ESL Placement Test. You’ll also find information about study resources to help you prepare for testing.
If you need special accommodations due to a disability, let us know and we’ll make arrangements for you through HCCC Disability Support Services.
Make sure you’re right where you belong ... take the College Placement Test!
