The biggest economic daily newspaper “Nikkei Shimbun” reported in 2nd of Aug, 2010. Regarding survey of research and development activity, Japanese companies strategically promote cooperation among government, industry and academia to accelerate R&D activity. 25% of the those surveyed company plan to promote cooperation with overseas companies which is twice bigger compared with in 2009. 35% of the those surveyed company plan to promote basic research with the outside companies. The survey asked a reason to cooperation with Research institutes / university and 58% of the company expects speed up for developing new products. <<survey method>> Nikkei Shimbun had conducted a questionnaire survey to R&D division of major 461 Companies from May to June in 2010.
