Wood Veneer doors
Wood Veneer doors
All models are available in each of our wide selection of veneers. By default, the wood grain appears vertically on doors and drawer fronts. Please specify if you want the wood grain to be set horizontally. For some models, you must indicate the grain orientation. Otherwise, it will automatically be vertical (top to bottom). Please refer to our technical drawing (page 5). Our products have excellent stability, with a warping tolerance of 1/16”. This tolerance applies only to door sizes not exceeding 24” wide and 48” high.
We consider our sanding preparation ready for finishing. However, we still recommend a light hand sanding of all parts in order to meet your level of perfection.

On special order, edge banding can also be applied to the inner contour of a panel for an oven and / or microwave. It is subject to a surcharge.
Please note that nature creates, but cannot reproduce. To avoid variations of shades and colors between your doors and panels, we recommend that you order all your components at the same time. They will then be matched to each other.

tyPes oF sequenCing The manufacturing of our doors can be done in two ways, either sequenced or not. Our doors and drawer fronts have a standard vertical grain. If you need products with horizontal grain, please indicate so when ordering.
non-sequenced method The production of doors is done randomly. That is, they will be fabricated at random and each one will display its own characteristics (graining, shades, etc.). This method is the standard method of production in the industry.
sequenced method The production of doors takes into account the exact position of each door relative to the next; each door becomes a visual extension of adjacent doors. This method results in a harmonious look for the entire work (send your drawing of the requested sequence). A surcharge for this method applies. Note that this method does not apply to our HD Evolution collection.

Each type of wood has its own characteristics. Some react poorly to dyes, others show significant color changes with age or have a wide range of grain or color, all of which require a good knowledge of the species in order to extract its maximum effect. We recommend that you make your own tests on your chosen materials.

REGULAR ORDERS
• The maximum lead time for production (ex works) of a regular order is 10 working days. The calculation of working days begins on the next business day after receipt of the order at the factory. If, for reasons that are beyond our control, the period of production should exceed 10 working days, we will notify the customer immediately.
SPECIAL ORDERS: ADDITION (1 to 5 units)
• Orders of 5 supplemental units or less can be added to the initial order, 5 working days before delivery. • All other supplemental orders will be processed within normal production lead time. For faster delivery, a surcharge will be applied based on the number of units and required lead time.
SPECIAL ORDERS: REmAkE
• Remake orders will be processed normally.
NOTE: For rush orders, please note that production depends on the availability of materials (veneer sheets and edgebanding) so that we may meet the production deadlines.
liMited Warranty
Richelieu guarantees its doors for a period of 5 years from the date of shipment against manufacturing defects when they are used under normal conditions.
Our limited warranty will apply only if our products have been used or stored in a temperature-controlled environment. Under such conditions, our products will provide maximum performance and complete satisfaction. Our warranty will not apply if our products are used in an environment where the humidity is above 50%.
Our guarantee is limited to the replacement of original materials provided by us, and does not cover the costs of labour and finishing.
• Natural wood discoloration caused by any factor does not in itself constitute a defect. • Fading over time caused by UV rays on a varnish does not in itself constitute a defect. • The characteristics of wood, such as mineral node, knot, sugar traces, modular radius and other characteristics do not intrinsically constitute defects. The veneers used meet the grade for an entire face veneer 49 inches by 97 inches, which complies with North-American gradations of wood veneers. • We are not responsible for the quality of finish of our products resulting from your finishing products. We recommend that you make a preliminary
finishing test on a component before applying the product on all of our components. • Warping problems must be detected and reported within 15 days of receipt of the order. Moreover, the defective door(s) cannot have been altered
in any way whatsoever (drilling for the hinges, installation of handles, finishing, etc.). • Defective doors must be returned to your Richelieu distributor. • We do not guarantee any doors wider than 24 inches or higher than 48 inches against warping. The normal tolerance for these sizes is 1/16” or 0.02 mm.
DOORS DAMAGED IN TRANSIT
• When receiving your shipment, always check that they have not been damaged in transit before signing the delivery note. If the boxes are damaged, please write “damaged boxes” on the waybill. You must keep the defective boxes and doors to allow us to place our claim with the carrier. Notify us immediately of the problem so that the faulty doors may be repaired and returned to you as quickly as possible. • It is your responsibility to check your merchandise upon receipt, because if the doors were damaged in transit and you sign the waybill indicating
“received in good condition”, it will be impossible to prove that the damage occurred during transit, thus preventing us from making any claim with the carrier.
MISSING BOXES
• When receiving boxes, verify that the number of boxes delivered matches the number on the delivery note. If boxes are missing, please write “missing boxes” before signing it, indicating the number of missing boxes. Notify us immediately of the problem so that a search can be done to locate the missing package(s).
